I wish I had seen these reviews before I booked a reservation. Park closed early so they let everyone flood in so the 8:30 reservation and checking in at 7:40 did nothing since the restaurant was packed. We finally got a table an hour later after watching water dripping from the ceiling into people's desserts. They are supposed to be known for their desserts, but even the 3 types of milkshakes we ordered were all bad.

Pros:

Cool atmosphere

Cons:

Late, food was bad, server spent time gossiping at other tables

Our party of 6 got seated at 9 for an 830 reservation. We checked in at 8. Then, our 6 adults including 2 over 6' tall and wide upper body stong young men were sat in a booth. We couldn't move our arms. I ordered a monti cristo. I got a black burned on one side and soggy wet on the other side sandwich. But it was not a normal monti Christo. I wanted to forget about it because our waiter rarely came back. By the time he did everyone was done eating. He wouldn't allow a refund, just a replacement which I got to go. It was a wet soggy mess. So, yeah, not a good experience.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Everything

So here is the story of a manager named APRIL who literally stated that they would rather give an appointment to someone who was at the front counter than someone who was running late due to traffic. This “manager” who was called upon to save the day for a family who was caught in traffic decided that it would be a better response to lose a 7 seat reservation who was caught in traffic rather than try to accommodate. The truth is life happens, and sometimes we all get caught in traffic. Personally it was probably for the better, as why would I want to spend 300$ plus on a place that can’t seem to understand that life sometimes happens. I offered different options and explained that I would be willing to be put in a literally any other time, yet the response was, oh well we can’t help you. FOLKS, spend your money as you wish, but the fact remains, these restaurants should be absolutely delighted that you want to spend your money with them, and you should not be made to feel like you don’t matter. If your willing to entertain a guest at the front entrance then you should be able to do something for someone that booked WEEKS AGO. I can’t speak on the food because I’ve never eaten there, nor will I. FOLKS, there are reviews that are warranted and those that aren’t. This one was 100% earned by Miss April the manager, who had every opportunity to work with me and chose to treat us like we “lost our chance to eat”. I hope this review reaches the masses, as I for one don’t give money to establishments that cannot put customers first. If you do choose to make reservations there, know that one delay will cost you and your GROUP a meal, with zero compassion and zero accommodation. There are too many GREAT eating experiences out there to be abused by the entitled Universal Studios restaurant chain. We get it, y’all are connected to Universal blah blah blah, but at the end of the day it’s people that count and
the lack of compassion from this restaurant negates any desire I have to spend my hard earned money there. I hope this review reaches everyone that works hard and values their money and time. If someone treats you badly, why should you give them your money. This is how I feel about the Toothsome Chocolate Factory, and Miss April’s lack of desire to help a family who got stuck in traffic.

Pros:

Don’t know never made it there

Cons:

Literally everything based on one phone call

Food quality simply not worth the price, the wait or the attitude. They have some desserts, most of which explain the diabetes epidemic in this country, and ride the coattails of that. I wouldn't consider coming again.

Pros:

Desserts that will guarantee morbid obesity.

Cons:

Wait,food quality

The food was ok; but nothing you couldn’t find at home. The milk shakes are over the top and shareable. I recommend grabbing a milkshake to go and save your dinner money for someplace with food that will blow you away.

Pros:

Desserts!!!!

Cons:

Expensive, crowded, loud

Great appetizers and entrees for lunch! Unfortunately for people like me with a relatively small stomach, I did not have room to try their famous milkshakes.

Pros:

Beautiful steampunk theme, chocolate shop and unique interior designs to explore while waiting to be seated, great place to hang out and act as safe haven from inclement weather, and super walkable between the two parks and easy to spot.

Cons:

Milkshakes are too big as a dessert.
