Are here for lunch on our checkout day. Hit the parks in the morning and the walked into Cowfish without a reservation before heading to the airport. The place was pretty much empty and the AC was on high, so it was perfect! Service was excellent and quick. Sushi and sliders would great. Definitely recommend!
Pros:
Nice atmosphere. Great food.Cons:
Wouldn’t be a lot of options for picky eaters.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 09/26/2023

Great opportunity to either taste something different or taste something familiar
Pros:
Good food and good portion sizes, not too expensiveCons:
It may not be for everyone and you may over pay if you have a more simple palletReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 04/06/2023

The first two times we went there in 2020 the food was really good. This time we were really disappointed. The rice in the sushi seemed like it wasn't made fresh. The fish itself had no flavor. We had the crab rangoon with chips and it was watery and we had to ask for more chips. We were seated upstairs. It was dead and no one working upstairs seemed to want to be there. We've eaten downstairs in the past and it's worth the wait. Being upstairs felt like being in a bad empty fast food restaurant. We get better sushi at home. This last visit in March 2023 was not worth the price.
Pros:
Eating in main dining room on main floor has a better atmosphere.Cons:
Food is hit or miss. Avoid eating upstairs its sad and depressing.Reviewed by ElizaK Review Date: 09/17/2022

We got two Burgushi rolls to share and they were delicious! We were sat on the 2nd floor near the window and the view is great. Service was good. We went during September and it was easy to get a reservation literally 10 minutes before I walked up to the restaurant, but that may just be because it was a slower time of year.
Pros:
Great food, good serviceCons:
None I can think of!Reviewed by TattooedtravelOT Review Date: 05/22/2022

For many years Cowfish was a must go to restaurant for us each time we went to universal, but it’s not that way anymore. We love the food, but the past few visits the service was lacking, it was very warm inside due to having all the doors open on a warm day, and we are not crazy about the cocktails on their menu. Some of our favorites include the ahi tuna nachos, crab Rangoon dip, firecracker roll and shroomin burger. The kids meals are adorable and served in a bento box style. It’s not a bad restaurant there are just other venues on citywalk I would prefer to go.
Pros:
We have had more delicious items than not, fun decor, good kids menuCons:
Service is declining, not a fan of their cocktails, very hot last time we went, some stand out dishes but also have had some not so great tasting meals, very loudReviewed by MouseHouse36 Review Date: 01/10/2022

This is a good option for Universal. I have had great sushi at home in Michigan and this didn’t blow me away. Their decor needs to be updated because a lot of the booths had holes in the cushions. The best location to sit in mild weather is their patio. It’s covered and a great place to people watch!
Pros:
Not over priced, lots of varietyCons:
Dated decor, nothing special taste wiseReviewed by GringottsStoleMyHeart Review Date: 12/03/2021

Being allergic to gluten I was really excited to eat at such a unique restaurant that in theory should have been easy for me to eat half the menu. I was really disappointed I couldn’t try any of the fusion meals because somehow there’s gluten in all of them, but the main ingredients they list on the menu look like it shouldn’t even include it. The goat cheese salad I got was good but I can also make that at home for less.
Pros:
Unique and tastyCons:
Not as gluten free friendly as I was hopingReviewed by Ksabo71 Review Date: 10/12/2021

This is not so much about the food but about the service. Our daughter was so excited to finally be trying Cowfish and when we got seated we were scoffed at, huffed at and eye rolled at when we only ordered appetizers. We ordered several appetizers and were willing to give them our money and we were treated like outcasts from the get go. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. Had to ask for our drinks after ordering them. Our daughter was so disappointed by the time we left that we will never go back. Such a disappointment but the appetizers we had were very good and it is such a shame that we won’t be able to experience more of their menu in the future.
