Sci-Fi had been a family favorite for years. Its fun atmosphere, good food at a decent price put it at the top of our list. I finally had success at getting a reservation after several unsuccessful attempts the last few trips.
Unfortunately Sci-Fi just ain’t what she used to be. The old movie trailers are still great so the atmosphere is unchanged. The food is ok - it’s mostly burgers. I got the backyard burger and it was good especially compared to Disney QS burgers. My husband got the prime rib sandwich and it wasn’t good at all. It was very dry and lacked flavor. Our waiter wasn’t bad fine but he seemed disinterested and didn’t check on us much. When the au jus spilled he just brought my husband some napkins to clean up himself. W head to flag him down for more au jus. This was the biggest disappointment. We’ve had some of the best wait staff at Disney - Sci-Fi especially!

This is a very fun, themed restaurant with good burgers where you get to experience an imitation of a 50s drive in. The service is excellent and you won't spend too long here and can get right back to the park. The loop of old trailers you watch is fun but can get repetitive by the time you finish. I do not recommend this if you want to have conversation at dinner because you are seated 2 by 2 in a fake car looking at the screen.

I chose this restaurant because I thought it would be good for a solo diner, with the videos playing the whole time. I really enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere. I only had 2 complaints: it was difficult to see the menu in the dark, and the video loop restarted a little before I left, so for about 10 minutes I was seeing the same videos I had already seen.

Nice concept, but has a weird vibe. We had a party of 6 and were sat in a car / table that sat six. It had 3 rows that sat 2 people per row. The only problem is that everyone is facing forward, so having conversations was very hard. It is very dark inside, but that is part of the experience. What was weird is that even though movie clips were playing on the screen no one was having conversation, at least not very loud, so it was eerily quiet. The burgers we had were very good, the French fries not so much. The prices by Disney standards were pretty cheap. The trays with the food on them barely fit on the counter in front of you and I can see how you could easily spill a drink with lack of elbow room. The service was quick and fast, but for us it is a one and done.

I enjoyed this place. Got to sit in one of the "cars". When I visited it was just two of us. Not sure how great it would be with larger parties.

Good atmosphere as with most places in Hollywood studios but was greatly upset that they only played movie clips and not actual black and white movies. It just felt like sitting in a fake car with no space to eat pretty average food. Also if you're there for more than 15 minutes, it just repeated the same commercials, which slowly drove me crazy to a point of no return. Would recommend only once for the experience.

This restaurant is so cute!!! I go here for the atmosphere 100%. The food is alright, pretty average American food. They have good drinks and milkshakes. Sitting in the little cars watching the Disney cartoons is so cool! It feels like you're eating at a drive in movie. The only downside is each row in the car only fits 2 people, so if you have an odd number group, one person has to sit alone.
