Excellent dinner. We all had the chicken dinner and the serving of chicken was huge. It also came with a very tasty assortment of vegetables and mashed potatoes, all of which were very fresh. It was the quality I would expect from a table service restaurant. The selection of desserts was excellent, nice to see what you are getting ahead of time, all fresh and delicious. Also the outdoor patio provided plenty of seating and a very nice atmosphere for dining.

We tried both the beef and chicken skewers for dinner. Both were exceptionally tasty and freshly barbequed. We also had a fruit box with a nicely varied selection of six or seven different fruits to top it off which was very refreshing and a good way to top off the meal. Highly recommend but might be better for lunch rather than dinner.

My families favorite restaurant! We just returned from our six night stay at The Polynesian. Service was good, food was amazing. We love the salad, wontons and especially the noodles. The chicken was prepared perfectly! Steak and shrimp were great. I have four big eaters who just love this restaurant. We ate here twice during our stay. Our reservations were 5:15 and 6:55. Both nights we were seated within ten minutes of these times. We did use the meal plan.

Narcoosee's has become such a disappointment. I have eaten here for years, and have watched it go from a wonderful restaurant to what it is now. They have cut portions as far as they possibly can, and have increased prices to the point that for what you get, it's clearly no longer worth it. It's a shame. This was one of my favorite restaurants. The filet mignon that I had wasn't near at tender or flavorful as what I get at Yachtsman Steakhouse, and lobster tail is lobster tail, rather small at that. You get your dinner on this small square plate that doesn't help. They even make the Almond Crusted Cheesecake smaller! It's pretty bad. If you want a good restaurant that is worth the $ go to Citrico's or Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Unless you like hot, very spicy food, this place is not for you! I couldn't anything on the menu other than the Indian bread service and dessert! They need to have something for those who do not like hot and spicy food! I found it to be inedible.

This is our 4th visit to POR. We have done a variety of levels of rooms and locations. This is the first time we have done Alligator Bayou building 16. There were three of us. Our DS 11 slept in the murphy bed. I wasn't sure it would be big enough but he is about 5 ft and fit just fine. He really liked it. The room was comfy. We were located by the quiet pool. The laundry at the pool now takes debit cards and is 2.50 a load now compared to cash and $2.00 last trip. The food court was yummy as always but had different options than in previous trips. Finally we fished this trip with the cane poles. the kiddo wasn't successful but DH caught 5 tiny fish. LAst day we rented a surrey bike for a half hour. Roughly that's two times around but we only went once because it was about DS having the experience now that he's tall enough not doing it for half hour. I found we used the south depot. It is closer than the West depot. You can walk through the parking lot and follow a path to the buses or go through the food court ect. I feel in the past we have been in a more direct path to the buses. Check in was so easy this trip. I room was not ready when we arrived. They sent us a text but gave us the wrong room number. When checking in the told us the building number and we've stayed enough times for me to know the # didn't match the building. My husband went back to clear the matter up and was called Mr. Martinez and told he has a daughter. Once they realized he wasn't that person they gave us the correct room number and all was good. We drove so we used the buses about 75% of the time and drove the other 25%. We always had a good parking spot in the evening when coming back. maintenance was great while mousekeeping not so much. The family before us must have had active children. The smoke detector was hanging off the wall but maintenance immediately fixed it. Mouse keeping left behind a roll of plastic bags and didn't clean something I asked at first but she probably didn't understand. She was very pleasant and friendly when we saw her at other times. We got one towel animal the whole trip which is much les than in the past. While we would definitely stay here again after 4 trips we feel we've accomplished it all and are ready to move on to new resort. I think for the amenities and price it is a great moderate choice. We've stayed at values and deluxe but really enjoy this one.
Pros:
rooms, food court, quiet pools, surrey bikes, fishingCons:

We ate here out of location and timing. DS 11 got fried rice from yak and yeti but there was no seating available so we decided we would eat at flame tree and he could eat his stuff while we had ours. Flame tree wasn't really where it usually is due to construction so that didn't happen. We settled on restaurantasaurus. We shared a burger. The line was ridiculous. We couldn't sit until we got our food which was good and bad. There was no seating at all. Finally the three of us sat at a table for two. Drink refills were great. Burger was blah. Mousse was the standard at any place. I liked it was inside compared to yak and yeti and Flame tree but I don't think we need to go this place when there are better options.

It's been a few trips since we've been here. DS 11 wanted to go so we did. He ordered the chicken pot pie. It was huge! It wasn't traditional with crust on bottom and top just a square of puff pastry on top but it was really good and it couldn't be finished. I had the sampler and it was all good. Could have used more mashed potatoes. DH had the potroast. It was good as always. smaller than the potpie though. DS and I got Milkshakes to drink and water. the Chocolate was yummy. the PB and J didn't taste like a lot of J more PB. For dessert DS got a choc/PB layer cake to go. DH and I got the cheesecake. Good. We'll go back. The CM's were good but not over the top as in the past. The wait was long and crowded but the food was good.

Ate here on trip May 31-June 14. Missed the lomein but instead had the teriyaki beef. It was good but I don't have to have it next trip like I wanted the lomein. DH had the salad with chicken. It was good just like last time. DS used a snack credit for the fried rice. It was great he got it twice over the trip. It is larger than a pint and smaller than a quart. We will eat here again next trip but it wasn't as great as last trip. The seating the first time was fine but the 2nd time couldn't be found and we took the fried rice and ate somewhere else. I like that it's not a burger and fries quick service.
Pros:
great options, good snack creditCons:

Do not waste your time going to this place. First thing is why even make reservations if you have to wait an hour anyway. Walk in's were seated before us. Then once we mentioned dining plan to the waiter his whole attitude changed, acted like we were paying with food stamps or something. Then about 30 min later the waiter comes back to get our drink orders. All this while I'm watching him take extra care of the two customers beside us who were NOT on the dining plan. I may not have paid then an there at the restaurant but I PAID for it indeed. Not to mention after all this crappy service I find out I was charged two dining points. The bad part is I checked the reviews before I went. The first two I read were bad. Should have listened. # betterlucknexttime.
