This was a must-do for us for a long time but not anymore. The service was great but the food quality has significantly declined. First disappointment was the removal of the salad and turkey. The salad was replaced with lettuce wraps which are okay but nothing great. The lo mein and veggies were really good but the wings tasted old and dry. The beef and shrimp were poor quality. They were both really rubbery and lacked flavor. The pork loin was good and the dessert was outstanding. Unfortunately, that's not enough to bring us back. Really bummed to see one of our favorites go downhill!

Pros:

Tons of food

Cons:

No more turkey or salad

Review of Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria

I had dined at Via Napoli three times before and could not wait to take my niece there for lunch on February 7. We shared a Carciofi Signature Pie, my favorite, and we both enjoyed every bite. The combination of the white sauce, fontina, mozzarella, artichokes and truffle oil is something that has to be experienced. Delicious! And Via Napoli now has a new fan who can't wait to eat here again! Our waitress was efficient and cordial and when my niece photographed the unique ovens, the charming waiters hammed it up a bit for us. Our pizza for two was $31 but that was no more than two lunches anywhere else would have cost and the food, wine and experience were well worth it. A real treat. We'll be back!

Pros:

Delicious food, good service, fun waiters

Review of La Hacienda de San Angel

I knew the Tables in Wonderland card was not accepted here but having dined here twice in the past (last time three years ago), I wanted to treat my niece to a unique dinner. We were seated quickly and our waiter appeared with chips and 2 salsas that we munched on while perusing the menu. We shared a shrimp/guacamole/lime appetizer along with the seafood platter for two.
The fish, scallops and shrimp were delicious. The seasonings on the seafoods were perfect along with the vegetables and the corn (in a terrific sauce). Tortillas, beans and rice rounded out the meal-too much to eat-easily would have fed three. And though we were stuffed, I had to try the sweet corn ice cream. The taste was good but neither of us liked the kernels in the cream. We had both enjoyed the sweet corn cheesecake at last fall's Food and Wine Festival and said the ice cream didn't compare to the cheesecake. But we tried it and that is part of the fun at dining at the Epcot restaurants-experiencing a new taste. Dining at La Hacienda de San Angel is a big investment-a special occasion kind of place. You will enjoy eating here but do not let the bill surprise you and spoil the experience. One thing I liked, we actually dined-we were not rushed and spent almost two hours eating, talking and enjoying the ambiance of the place. A truly wonderful dinner.

Pros:

Good food-lovely presentation-good service

My family and I visited this restaurant after a day at Animal Kingdom. We arrived a little early for our reservations and looked around the attached gift shop. We were seated promptly. The menu is extensive with steak, chicken seafood, pasta, burgers and salads. It's sometimes hard to narrow down your choices. Everyone loved their food. My mother said her Steak Kabobs were the best meal of her vacation. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely visit this restaurant again in the future.

Pros:

Extensive menu, great theming

Cons:

A little loud

Review of Riverside Mill Lunch/Dinner

My family and I ate at the Riverside Mill Foodcourt three times over the course of a week. As soon as we checked into the resort, we headed to the foodcourt to get lunch. There were several stations with different kinds of food. We chose the Angus Burgers which were tasty and a "build your own" salad which my father said was very good.

In the middle of the week we split a large cheese pizza. The pizza was just OK. I wish I had ordered the flatbread pizza instead. It looked delicious as did the pasta.

Pros:

Nice menu selections

This restaurant is in The Seas pavilion at Epcot. My family and I visited on 2/1/15 and were promptly seated. Our table was against the aquarium glass, but I believe there would be a good view from any seat in this restaurant.

I ordered the Mahi Mahi and it was delicious. Another member of our party ordered the steak and said it was very good. Desserts were included with the Disney Dining Plan. The Chocolate Wave is a lava cake. Very rich but so good.

Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Watching the sharks, turtles, and other fish in the aquarium was a treat. I'd gladly return.

Pros:

View of the aquarium

My family and I visited this restaurant on 2/2/15. It is located in the Asian area of the Animal Kingdom park. We had reservations and were seated promptly in the upstairs area. The decor was interesting. Our waiter said we could get up and look around while we were waiting for our meal if we wanted to.

Each of us decided to try a different entree. I had the steak with coconut shrimp. The steak was juicy and the shrimp was delicious. It was accompanied with a pineapple salsa which was very good and some kind of mashed potatoes which I liked. The other members of my party ordered the Baby Back Ribs with Hoisin BBQ sauce, and Crispy Honey Chicken which they enjoyed. All of the meals were huge and could be split if you're not very hungry.

There was a nice selection of desserts. I ordered the Fried Wontons which came with vanilla ice cream and pineapple chunks. One of the best desserts of my vacation! The others in my party tried the selection of Sorbets and said it was very good. I will definitely return to this restaurant in the future.

Pros:

Great food, Fried Wontons!!!

My family and I stopped here for a quick meal on 2/1/15. This restaurant is located in The Land pavillion at Epcot. There is lots of seating. It's sometimes loud inside, so if you're looking for a quiet corner...good luck.

This quick service restaurant has a lot of different choices that you usually don't see in other fast food type restaurants. Many of them are healthy choices. I tried the Turkey sandwich with a side of cole slaw which was very good and filling. Another member of our party had the eggplant vegetable wrap and potato salad. She said it was delicious. The desserts were wonderful. Our party tried the Strawberry Shortcake (best I ever had) and the Carrot Cake (yummy).

Pros:

Huge portions; Healthy menu

Cons:

loud

Review of Teppan Edo - Japan

We went to Teppan Edo January 2nd for dinner. we arrived a half hour before our seating, were given a pager and told we could browse anywhere in the pavilion while we waited. We chose to sit in the waiting area for the restaurant. Be warned that Teppan Edo and Tokyo Grill share both the check-in and waiting area so it gets very congested. Pet peeve of mine, the rest rooms are very inadequate for the two restaurants to share and you need to actually leave Teppan Edo to access them. Also bothersome is how close the cooking tables are to each other. When I had to use the rest room, I felt like I was climbing over my fellow diners! All that aside, we greatly enjoyed our dinner. Our chef's name was Haruna and when she introduced herself she made a point to say, Haruna, is like Hakuna Matata so she was as wonderful as the phrase! She was very entertaining, even making a Minnie Mouse on the cooking table using the cooking oil. Service was excellent, although we could have used quicker service on refills, but before we left we were offered a to-go cup of soda or tea if we wished (nice touch!). My son and I each ordered the sushi plate as an appetizer. 5 pieces of sushi and 4 pieces of sashimi for around $10 is not bad by Disney standards. My husband ordered the Tempura sampler and was very disappointed as it came out cold and had a very small portion for the price. I ordered the sirloin and shrimp plate, my son the chicken and sirloin and my husband the chicken and shrimp. The portions were great for the meat, but I really would have enjoyed more noodles and veggies with my meal. They did offer unlimited rice which was perfectly sticky to eat with chopsticks! I was celebrating my birthday and wearing a pin. I ordered the green tea/vanilla swirl ice cream and was pleasantly surprised when our bill came to find out they had given me my dessert for free! My son ordered the Plum Wine as a dessert cordial. He enjoyed it very much although it was a little too sweet for my taste. We greatly enjoyed our meal and will return another time I am sure.

Pros:

quality of food, entertaining cook

Cons:

price a little high for what you get

Review of Biergarten - Lunch/Dinner

We eat at Biergarten every trip and this time was no exception. Actually we ate there twice on our last vacation. I enjoy the buffet and the entertainment. They have made some changes to the items served. They removed the beer cheese soup from the lunch menu, replacing it with a potato soup. The soup was rather bland. I really missed the beer cheese soup which I thought was better than what I'd gotten at Le Cellier. They have added a few new salads to the cold bar, all were yummy. I especially liked the new fresh pickles. They still serve the schnitzelle (spelling?), but now only offer the hunter sauce. I miss the brown gravy. I also liked the spatzle with cheese. The struedel (spelling?) was wonderful as always. On both our meals we had great service. We will return for sure.

Pros:

food was wonderful

Cons:

they took the beer cheese soup off the menu
