I was thrilled to try the new restaurant the last week of January, 2013. We arrived around 11, and we had to wait about 20 minutes to make our way into the castle to order. This was about what we expected. The ordering process was horrible! The line would probably move much faster if you could give your order to a person. We wanted to add soup on & pay for it out of pocket (the rest of the meal was the dining plan). This required a complete new transaction.
As for the setting, the restaurant is beautiful! We sat in the West Wing, and it was magnificient. The food was ok. Nothing fancy. We did like how we could refill our drinks and how they brought it to our table. Hopefully, the ordering process will become easier as the restaurant is open longer. I'm not sure if we would try it again.

My daughter and I ate here for lunch on January 27. We got in line around 10:40 and we were inside with our food by 11am. Menus were shown to guests in line, but there were also several kiosks inside with pictures and descriptions of the food.

Ordering was easy. Someone asked how we were paying (Disney's Quick Service Plan) and showed us what to do. Once we placed our order, we got our rose and were told to find a seat at any of the three dining rooms. We were told where we could get our drinks and silverware. Our food was served to us within 5 minutes and was VERY GOOD. The braised pork was amazing. My daughter had the steak sandwich which also tasted very good. The desserts (chocolate cream puff and triple chocolate cupcake) were beautifully presented and yummy.

After we ate, we were allowed to take a quick peek into the other dining rooms. All of the rooms were lovely. We sat in the main room so we could see the "snow" falling outside.

One of our best quick service meals at Disney

We have decided that we much prefer lunch at Be Our Guest instead of dinner. The braised pork was fantastic; the steak sandwich was moist and flavorful; and every grilled ham and cheese sandwich should have béchamel sauce! It was a pleasant surprise when one of the servers felt we had been sitting too long without food and came by to get our meal number and make sure our food wasn't lost somewhere. Honestly, we hadn't been seated but maybe 5 minutes at that time.

great food; lovely seating

This was our favorite QS meal of the trip. Got there at 2:15 and got in with a very little wait. This place is absolutely beautiful! We ordered the Croque Monsier and the steak sandwich. Both were very good, but I prefered my Croque Monsier. The strawberry cream cheese cupcake was awesome!! I ordered the chocolate cupcake, but after trying my husbands strawberry cupcake, I took his! I love that they give you a rose, you get the drinks yourself and then they find your table to bring the food to you. Can not wait for our next trip so we can eat here again!

Pros:

Food, concept, beautiful rooms to pick from

This restaurant is beautiful! We ate here on Jan 27 2013. The different rooms are awesome but my favorite is the West Wing! Problem with the West Wing - it is the smallest of all the rooms and the most amazing of all so we did not get to sit it there. My DH got the steak sandwich which he liked and i tried and liked also. I got the braised pork! OMG amazing can i say! I would go back just for this over and over! The desserts were so good. I got the Lemon meringue cupcake, oh so good, and my husband got the chocolate cream puff which he enjoyed. The only downfall to this meal is that I was looking forward to the French onion soup so much bc i love French onion soup but it was nasty!

Pros:

steak sandwich, braised pork, desserts

Cons:

french onion soup

We ate here on Jan 29th.

I was rather shocked when I saw the line for this place. It was all the way out to the entrance of the walkway to the castle. We had to have been behind at least 100 people. Here's the main problem: they are using these kiosks without proper instruction and people do not know how to order from them. There are some registers with people but then there are the self serve kiosks and those are just not a good system. I was told to go to the next "shortest" line. I was placed behind to women who had told the kiosk that they were a party of 2 but they really wanted to order separately. They really epitomized the amount of confusion that people had with the system. I got pretty fed up with the foolishness and jumped to a line with a cashier. Finally placed my order - mission accomplished.

The cool part of the system is the little disk they give you that is used as your homing beacon for the server to find you in the vast dining rooms.

The food, believe it or not, was absolutely worth the wait. The braised pork was wonderful. It was quite possibly the best meal I've ever had at Disney. My husband had the "croque monsieur". It is incorrectly named, yet delicious. It really is a grilled ham & cheese but it is top quality and fantastic.

So, go early, get in line (be prepared to wait a while) and enjoy a great quick service meal. Hopefully Disney will address the utterly disorganized way this is set up. We went during value season. This will be an unmitigated disaster during peak times.

Pros:

food

Cons:

the lack of organization

People start lining up early, by 10:30 line is getting long. Before lunch, they allow people to go in to look at the ballroom but you can't walk around in it. We ate here twice, in the ballroom and west wing. The quiche and salad was good. The turkey sandwich and fries was good too, but it was big for lunch, I didn't finish it. In the west wing, the picture changes from the prince to the beast, but you have to look quickly when you hear a louder rumble of thunder or you miss it. It only changes for a second and a rose petal falls from the rose. We will eat here again.

Pros:

the details of the ballroom and west wing

Cons:

none

We visited Be Our Guest twice on our WDW vacation in January 2013. The wait was consistently approximately 30 minutes, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The braised pork, grilled steak sandwich, french onion soup, and cupcakes were all really good. I didn't care for the croque monsieur, though, as it wasn't anything like the ones I had eaten in Paris. Overall, though, I think this is the best counter service lunch option in Magic Kingdom and will definitely return.

I want to give it higher than a 7 but then I remember the ham and cheese sandwich that they tried to pass off as a croque monsieur. Waited in line outside for about half an hour. Ordering process was interesting. French onion soup was very good, sandwich was blah. Amazing dining rooms - we ate in the ballroom under the chandeliers. Beautiful. Would return but will order something else.

Pros:

Atmosphere, ordering process, theming and details

Cons:

Food was just ok

I'm giving the place a 10 based on service and food. We all had the ham sandwich followed up with chocolate cupcakes. It was one of the best meals we had on our vacation. The only downside was that we sat in the west wing portion and people kept crowding around, and even bumping into, our table to take pictures. It was rude and annoying, but not the fault of the restaurant.

Pros:

Food

Cons:

People crowding around the table to take pictures!
