Disney Drops HUGE Update About 'Ahsoka' Season 2

While Star Wars fans are gearing up for The Mandalorian and Grogu, the first new Star Wars movie to come to movie theaters since 2019, others are waiting for the return of Ahsoka, which was confirmed for a second season way back in 2024.

Well, Ahsoka fans, we’ve got some good news. Ahsoka season 2 is coming. We’ve also got some bad news, though: the second season of Ahsoka isn’t coming until 2027. So you’re going to have a little bit of a wait.

Disney recently held its Upfront showcase, which is an event held by major television networks and streaming services to preview their upcoming lineup. During that event, Rosario Dawson, who stars as Ahsoka in the series, along with the droid Chopper, announced that season 2 of Ahsoka will arrive on Disney+ in 2027.

During the upfront, media outlets in attendance also got to see a sizzle reel and behind the scenes images from the second season of the series featuring Dawson as Ahsoka, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Eman Esfandi as Ezra, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera, Hayden Christensen as Anakin, and Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati. Rory McCann will be joining the cast to take over the role of Baylan Skoll.

In the meantime, Star Wars fans can catch up on Maul: Shadow Lord, which just wrapped up its first season and has already been confirmed for a second. The Mandalorian and Grogu will premiere in theaters on May 22nd.
