After a two-decade run, this popular restaurant is leaving the Disneyland Resort!

Downtown Disney is a shopping and dining district at the Disneyland Resort, filled with tons of options for eats and drinks. After being at Downtown Disney for 23 years, an international smoothie place is permanently closing to make room for a new drink spot. Let’s take a look at the details.
The international smoothie juice bar, Jamba, has called Downtown Disney home for over two decades. 23 years to be exact! Despite its long tenure, the place will be permanently closing to make way for a Southern California bubble tea shop.

You still have a couple more months left to stop by Jamba, as it doesn’t officially close until July 6th. Once it’s gone, Bopo Go will take over the location at Downtown Disney. Jamba will remain open through July 5th, so that will be the last day to go.

Disneyland has already “filed a building permit with the city of Anaheim to remodel the 1,200-square-foot Jamba juice bar in Downtown Disney with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical upgrades for a new tenant,” according to The Orange County Register.

If you’re wondering what Bopo Go is, it’s a brand-new cafe concept being planned expressly for Downtown Disney. It’s created by Eric Wang and Philip Wang, co-owners of Bopomofo Café, which has several locations around Southern California, serving boba/bubble tea. The new Bopo Go will serve Bopomofo Café’s same authentic drinks.

The tea at Bopo Go tea is sourced from Taiwan, and their matcha is ceremonial grade from Japan. The drinks are made with real fruits, vegetables, lactose-free milk, oat milk, cane or brown sugar, and no artificial ingredients. Boba won’t be the only thing they serve, as they’ll have other beverages, snacks, candies, and more.

Bopomofo plans to begin construction on Bopo Go at Downtown Disney this summer. So you can expect to see work at Disney’s shopping and dining district being done during your summer vacation.

We’re sad to say bye to Jamba, and its popular smoothies, fruit bowls, matcha, cold brews, sandwiches, and all the things we loved about it, but luckily, there are other locations. Last year, we knew that Jamba was on the way out; we just didn’t have an official timeline of when until now.

As much as we’ll miss Jamba, we’re excited to welcome this new boba place, inspired by Chinese, Taiwanese, and American cuisines. For more Disney news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to AllEars.
