REVIEW: This Lion King Drink Is LYING To Us!

When looking at all the fun themed Disney snacks and drinks, it can be hard to decipher what will actually taste good, versus what might only look good.

That’s why we’re here! We try all those Instagrammable treats to figure out what is actually a must-try on your Disney vacation. Today, we are going to be heading over to Animal Kingdom to review a new Lion King themed drink!

We stopped by the Royal Anandapur Tea Company, a Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company kiosks tucked into Asia at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

And here we tried out the Frozen Lion King Cappuccino for $7.99! Now let’s get one thing settled straight away: if you’re looking for a nice, solid cup of coffee, this isn’t going to be it.

This is a thick frozen coffee that feels much closer to a milkshake or dessert than coffee, but with that being said, it was actually pretty good! This drink has a very strong coconut flavor. So much so that if coconut is not your thing, we would suggest avoiding this drink.

The texture was a little thicker than a typical frozen coffee, and it had this amazing sweetness. The whole drink is so rich and creamy. The whipped cream on top is dusted with toasted coconut, and as it melts, it folds beautifully back into the drink, dialing up that creaminess even more as you go!

This drink is meant to be indulgent and cool you down on a hot Animal Kingdom day, and if you’re looking for something sweet, coconut-forward, and borders on dessert, this one delivers! However, if you’re looking for a good coffee, we would suggest trying something different.
