How Many Fairytale Easter Eggs Can You Spot in Our Hotel Room?

If there’s one thing this theme park knows how to do, it’s create a whimsical experience!

Quiny and Emma at Efteling!

On the AllEars team’s recent adventures around the world, one of our stops was Efteling, World of Wonders, a fantasy-themed park in the Netherlands. We absolutely LOVED this theme park and summed it up with the words “weird and wonderful.” But will that same dedication to fairytale detail also be included in Efteling’s Wonder Hotel? Come tour our hotel room to find out!

The Efteling Wonder Hotel is located close to the theme park and keeps the fantasy theme going with fairytale-themed rooms and suites. The hotel offers both standard rooms and fancier themed suites, including the Cinderella Suite, Snow White Suite, and Little Red Riding Hood Suite, to name a few.

We opted to stay in one of the standard rooms for our trip. But even though it might not have been as detailed as the suites, there were still plenty of fairytale Easter eggs hiding all over!

Wonder Hotel Room

There are a few slightly different sizes of standard rooms that sleep from 3 people to 5 people. Our room had the space to sleep 5, with a double bed, a bunk bed, and a pull-out single bed.

Double Bed

The bunk beds were a little on the small side, but we bet lots of kids would get a kick out of sleeping in the bunks!

There’s a large couch in the corner of the room, and the area is lined with sparkly drapes, which give off serious pixie dust vibes!

Seating Area

Wondering why there’s a crown on that ottoman? Well, as is often the case with fairytales, there’s more than first meets the eye — it’s a fantasy-themed board game!

It’s a Board Game!

There is also a TV, if you’re in search of a more standard form of hotel entertainment. Below the TV, you’ll find a Nespresso machine for coffee and tea.

And why have regular trash cans when you can have a pair of golden boot trash cans instead!

So You Can Give Your Trash the Boot?

We were big fans of the bathroom, which was well-lit and not too cramped. It has a walk-in shower and some subtle touches of theming throughout. Also, the pink and blue color scheme feels very fairytale to us…make it pink, make it blue!

There was also an area to store luggage, which also had a safe and a mini-fridge.

Now that we’ve gone over all the major details, we want to point out a few of the other fairytale Easter eggs that we were absolutely giddy to find! First, we’re definitely putting a Puss in Boots lamp on our wishlist for our nightstand at home.

Even the “plain” parts of the room got a fairytale makeover, like the wings painted next to this mirror.

So many details!

The fixtures next to the TV were fairytaled up too!

And last but not least, we have to call out this adorable little mouse peeking out from his home in the baseboards! Normally, finding a mouse in our room would be a serious red flag, but we’ll give this guy a pass any day.

A Mouse!

We were totally charmed by all the fun, magical details in our room at the Wonder Hotel! If you love the highly themed rooms at Disney World, like the Royal Rooms at Port Orleans — Riverside or the suites at Art of Animation, you might want to add a stay at Efteling’s Wonder Hotel to your bucket list!
