One of Disney World’s best character dining experiences is found in EPCOT, and there’s a reason that grabbing a dining reservation here is hard!
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in EPCOT’s Norway pavilion is a character dining experience that features Norwegian-inspired fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an all-you-care-to-enjoy fashion. Oh, and you get to meet some of your favorite Disney Princesses. Here is everything you need to know about this restaurant and why you should add it to your list.
The Menu
Akershus is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and you can meet with the princesses during every meal. For breakfast, you can enjoy pastries, mixed fruit, potato casserole, eggs, bacon, sausage, and Norwegian waffles.
Akershus Breakfast
For lunch and dinner, you will have bread, cheese, and salad to start. Then you will be able to try Norwegian food like meatballs, mashed potatoes, salmon, carrots, green beans, green cabbage, and macaroni & cheese. You’ll finish your meal with an assortment of Norwegian-inspired desserts.

The Pricing and Princesses
For breakfast, adults can dine here for $62 per person, and children (ages 3 to 9) are $39 per person, plus tax and gratuity. For lunch and dinner, adults are $69, and children are $46.
Akershus
While characters are subject to change, we often see princesses such as Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, Tiana, Aurora, and Ariel here. So you get to meet similar, if not the same, princesses here as at Cinderella’s Royal Table, enjoy all-you-care-to-eat dining, and pay less at Akershus!

Reviews
So why is this restaurant so hard to get? Guests love it! Hear from a few of our readers who left reviews:
“Great way to see a number of princesses. The character interaction is nice and they take time with everyone. We had Aurora, Snow White, Belle, Cinderella and Tiana. The food was all very tasty and served family style. If you want more of something they will bring it. Our server was friendly and efficient.”
Dining at Akershus
Another reader wrote, “I loved the food. Especially the meatballs. The princesses were so sweet and patient with my daughter.”
You have a princess fan in your party. We were able to see each princess at least once, and some more than once.
You want to knock out several character meet and greets at once — saving you time in the parks.
You miss the full experience of Cinderella’s Royal Table or want to be able to spend some time with the characters you’re meeting.

You Might Want to Consider Another Restaurant if…
You don’t care about character dining or meeting Disney Princesses.
You don’t like holiday-esque food or food served family style.
You’re balling on a budget, as this is a PRICEY meal.
You don’t want to waste time on a sit-down meal.

Tips for Booking a Dining Reservation
When booking a dining reservation for Akershus, be sure to set your alarm early, 60 days before your trip. The simplest way to make an ADR is to log in to either the My Disney Experience website or app. The online system opens at approximately 5:45 AM ET. Have a plan ahead of time for what restaurants you want to go to and on what day, but be flexible. If there isn’t a dining reservation available on the day you hoped, but it is on the following day, be ready to pivot if you are able to.
