Lots of people don’t realize just how fun LEGOLAND Florida can be, especially for those who have loved LEGOs their whole lives, or have kiddos who love to build!

This is especially true when the park has special events going on, such as LEGO Ninjago Weekends, which are happening on select dates from January 17th to February 15th. Is it worth a visit on your next vacation? We experienced it all to give you our full review!
LEGO Ninjago Weekends are happening this year on January 17th, 18th, 24th, 31st, and February 7th, 14th, and 15th. You’ll start seeing the signage from the moment you walk in, and you can also pick up a pamphlet to help walk you through all that’s available.

The pamphlet will help walk you through all the different experiences available during the event, such as character meet and greets, Brick Builds, a Scavenger Hunt, and other activities!

We started off trying out some of the special dining options available for the event, like the Matcha Arts Apple Fries for $18.29 from Granny’s Apple Fries. Unfortunately, we didn’t get much matcha flavor from this at all. It has matcha pellets throughout it that have a bit of flavor, but they more just add a gummy texture we’re not huge on. It tastes more like vanilla ice cream with the apple fries, and while the apple fries are delicious and unique as always, if you’re really expecting matcha, this might not be for you.

We also snagged the Balanced Bao Buns for $10.29 from Ninja Kitchen. The tempura chicken tasted like it was frozen and then fried, but that wasn’t a huge issue for us. The Japanese barbecue sauce on top was very strong in flavor, but not overpowering if you’re a fan of sweet and salty. We loved how the spicy mayo was a nice mix of cool and heat, and the cucumber, cilantro, and other fresh vegetables created an amazing balance.

The spice lingers in your mouth a bit, but it likely won’t be too much unless you’re really spice-adverse. The chopped peanuts also added a great texture, and helped the dish feel really elevated compared to other food here. It’s a must-try, in our eyes!

One of our favorite experiences at this event is the 15th Celebration Mosaic, where you build a small square of LEGO to build an overall mosaic! You picked up a card that told you exactly how to build your square, and once you were done, you handed it off to them to be added to the picture.

We can only imagine what it’ll look like when it’s complete — it already looked amazing from what we could see!

We also got a chance to watch the Whip Around Dance Party, which was lots of fun for adults and kids alike!

You can also check out Lloyd’s Elemental Challenge, which challenges you to show off your best Ninja moves and watch others do the same! It’s high-energy, tons of fun, and full of epic music to get you pumped for the rest of your day.

If you complete the Path of the Ninja at the event, you can end the day with Ceremony of the Ninja, which will help you celebrate your accomplishments with a gold medallion! It was pretty neat, and we know kids will especially love it. The best part? It’s totally free with your admission!

Overall, we think this is lots of fun, especially since it’s all already included with the price of admission, so if you or your kids are big fans of LEGO Ninjago, we think it’s certainly worth checking out.
