We love all forms of Disney World transportation, but the Disney Skyliner is one of our absolute favorites.

If you’ll be in Disney World this week and are planning to take the highway in the sky, we’ve got some bad news. This is your reminder that, starting today, January 25th, the Skyliner will be CLOSED for a brief refurbishment over the next few days.
The Skyliner will be closed from January 25th through January 31st, meaning you won’t be able to take it from the resorts to EPCOT or to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

To get to where you need to go, you’ll instead be able to take Disney Buses. This is true to get from EPCOT to Hollywood Studios, and vice versa, as well as if you need to get to either park from the Skyliner hotels (and again, vice versa). If you’re heading from EPCOT to DHS, don’t forget that you can also take the Friendship boats, which can also take you to the EPCOT area hotels and Disney’s BoardWalk.

Disney Buses often take longer than the Skyliner or other modes of transportation, so we recommend budgeting more time to get to where you need to go. This is especially true if you’re attempting to rope drop or make it to a dining reservation on time. Normally, we recommend budgeting an hour to get from one location to another in Disney World, and that’s ESPECIALLY true during this closure. In fact, to be extra safe, we recommend allowing up to 75 minutes.
