REMINDER: A Huge Disney World Change Is Happening in ONE MONTH

We are just ONE month away from another HUGE change in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Your last day to take one last ride on DINOSAUR, grab one last meal from Restaurantosaurus, and have one last shopping spree in The Dino Institute Shop is February 1st, 2026.

Dinoland U.S.A.

As of February 2nd, 2026, the rest of DinoLand U.S.A. will be permanently closing to make way for the new Pueblo Esperanza expansion. This land in Animal Kingdom has been closing down in phases, and we are about to have to say goodbye to DinoLand for good.

It is a bittersweet moment as we say goodbye to DinoLand U.S.A. We have already had to say goodbye to TriceraTop Spin, the Fossil Fun Games, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, The Boneyard, Trilo-Bites, and Dino-Bite Snacks. But the rest of the land will be closed as of February 2nd. It is going to be a sad day, but we are also looking forward to what is coming.

The Boneyard

DinoLand U.S.A. will be permanently closed to make way for a new Tropical Americas-themed land called Pueblo Esperanza. The name roughly translates to “Village of Hope,” and it is expected to cover an 11-acre section of Animal Kingdom.

Pueblo Esperanza will feature three attractions: an Indiana Jones attraction, an Encanto attraction, and a family-friendly carousel ride. The Indiana Jones attraction will take over the DINOSAUR building and likely use the same ride vehicle and track, but with a new story.

The Encanto attraction will be the first-ever Encanto-themed attraction, taking guests to Madrigal Casita. On the ride, you will join Antonio, who has just received his special gift, which is the ability to communicate with animals.

In addition to the attractions, Pueblo Esperanza will also feature one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Disney World! Currently, Pueblo Esperanza is expected to open in 2027.

Don’t forget, you have less than a month to experience the remaining area of DinoLand U.S.A. before it closes forever. Starting February 2nd, this land will be permanently closed!
