BREAKING: SURPRISE! AstroFizz Snack Stand Is OPEN in Magic Kingdom!

SNACK ALERT! Hope you’re hungry, because Tomorrowland is giving us a NEW place to enjoy in Disney World. That’s right — we’ve got really exciting snack news out of Magic Kingdom, friends!

AstroFizz!

The construction walls recently came down around AstroFizz in Tomorrowland, the new snack stand that replaced Cool Ship. Disney hadn’t announced an official opening date for the stand, but we did know it would be open for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to serve up some special treats. Well, SURPRISE! The snack stand is OPEN — and we went to check it out!

Our friends over at Disney Food Blog confirmed that AstroFizz had a soft opening during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on October 31st, so we knew that this spot was primed and ready for its big debut any day now. Well, we walked back into the park on November 1st to find that the stand is OPEN! Cast Members told us today, November 1st, is AstroFizz’s official opening day!

It’s OPEN!

Last night was indeed its soft opening, and today, it’s now open for all visitors to enjoy. This information is currently not reflected on the Disney World website or the My Disney Experience App, but we have a feeling it’ll be updated soon. (You can see the full menu online, too!)

We’re so excited it’s open!

One of the specialty items here is the Cherry Cola Churro for $7.49, which is a Churro rolled in Cherry sugar and drizzled with Coca-Cola Cherry Icing, then topped with Cherry Popping Candies. Stay tuned for our review — we can’t wait to try it!

Specialty Churros

Also on the menu are Frozen Slushies (Coca-Cola, Fanta Blue Raspberry, and Fanta Orange) for $6.49, as well as Popcorn in a Refillable Souvenir Bucket for $14.29. These are great options for a quick and easy snack!

Other specialty menu items

The main menu page also shows that you can also grab Popcorn without the bucket for $5.99, Cotton Candy for $5.49, Cinnamon-Glazed Nuts for $5.99,  Mickey Premium Bar for $6.49, a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Sandwich for $6.49, a Strawberry Fruit Bar for $5.99, a Frozen Lemonade Cup for $6.29, a Soda for $4.79, Bottled Water for $4.25, and smartwater for $6.25.

The menu

During our visit to Magic Kingdom, Cast Members hinted that this stand is working through some opening-day kinks. When we walked up to order, we were informed that churros would be available in about 15 minutes due to an issue with the machine, and the slushy machine was broken, too. There was a crew member inside fixing both machines, but it was unclear when they could be repaired. We’ll keep you updated on the situation!

We’ll be trying all these items VERY soon, so be sure to be on the lookout for our reviews coming soon!
