Royal Caribbean travels to a lot of the same destinations as Disney Cruise Line ships, and oftentimes overlap on trips, so we keep our eyes on all the latest cruise news so you’re prepared for your upcoming vacation. If you’ve been planning to sail with Royal Caribbean soon, you may want to hold of your trip, because NEW ships and destinations have been announced!

According to the Orlando Sentinel, during a recent media sailing on Star of the Seas, Royal executives revealed the design for Perfect Day Mexico, detailed plans for their upcoming private destinations, as well as a new class of ships.

The company now has ship and private destination location openings all the way through 2028. The company’s third Icon-class ship, Legend of the Seas, is set for a 2026 debut, which we’ve known for a while, but Royal Caribbean is already in construction on its fourth Icon-class ship. It’ll debut in 2027 and feature a “pretty ambitious set” of new activities and features for passengers to enjoy.

However, their Oasis class of ships will also be expanded, with a seventh ship coming in 2028. It’s also been confirmed that Royal Caribbean is dreaming up a new class of smaller ships called the Discovery series. Additionally, the first of Royal Caribbean’s beach clubs, the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, opens to guests on December 27th of this year. Guests will find three neighborhoods: one geared toward families, another for partying, and a chill area. And overall, there will be two beaches and three pools to explore.

Additionally, another Royal Beach Club location opens in 2026 in Cozumel, Mexico, and a new destination in Lelepa, an island in the South Pacific, will open in 2027.

Royal Caribbean is also eyeing a new Perfect Day Mexico location to open in 2027, which will be a new private enclave set in Mahahual in the state of Quintana Roo. The focus point of the area will be the Loco Waterpark, exploring 31 slides across 5 towers that are some of the tallest in all of the Americas.

Perfect Day Mexico will have seven neighborhoods, one of them being Splash Cove, which will be home to the world’s longest lazy river. It’ll also have a “crazy river” option, as well as a swim-up bar. The area will also feature El Hideaway, which will be for adults only, as well as the premium Costa Beach Club to the north of the main attractions.
