Disneyland Resort is working on a big project!

The resort is getting some major expansions over the next few years, but to get the space they need, some changes are coming to the parking lots. Disneyland recently released more information about these updates, and we’re breaking it down to show you what’s coming!
To start out, let’s take a look at the concept art! Disneyland has announced a new parking structure and transportation hub, located on the east side of the Disneyland Resort

Currently, part of this space is home to the Manchester Parking Lot, where Cast Members park their vehicles. When this becomes public parking, it will have about 6000 spaces.

Disney will be adding a pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard, “leading to an all-new esplanade arrival experience.” Construction is slated to begin in fall 2026.

The pedestrian bridge will provide access to Harbor Boulevard, where shops, restaurants, and various hotels are located.

Disney’s also adding shuttle and rideshare areas, security screenings, and a dedicated access for traffic coming from Disney Way. The goal here is to enhance parking and traffic flow throughout the area.

From the artwork, it looks like the bridge will go from the new lot, over the street, run adjacent to some backstage areas, and then drop guests off at the other side of security.

We’ll be interested to follow this construction in the coming years, and we’ll keep you updated as changes are made.

I’m hoping Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride will get updated with more character animatronics to look at spoonbill birds, lady butterflies, showboat, Reggie, Darnell, two fingers, 2 fenner bros, Buford, Lawrence, spooky masks, dolls, spirits and Dr facilier and 2 songs added when we’re human, friends on the other side. Only then I’ll be more interested in reriding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. While they’re at it they need to remove 1927 or change it to 1928 because it’s too close to the April 1927 Mississippi river flood disaster history. Also they should remove outdated stereotypes of native Americans, Asian stereotype doll from Pinocchios daring journey ride at Disneyland.
