Attention football fans: If you’re thinking of heading to New Orleans to watch the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on February 9th, Southwest Airlines has added a large group of new flights to the city!

Southwest has added 15 additional flights into the city between February 7th and 8th from Philadelphia (a route not usually served by Southwest) and Kansas City. In addition, a total of 16 flights have been added back to those respective cities on Monday, February 10th.

The full breakdown of flights is as follows:
Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, Southwest will offer:
- 7 additional nonstop flights from Kansas City to New Orleans, for a total of 8 nonstop options.
- 5 nonstop flights from Philadelphia to New Orleans: 5 nonstop flights.

On Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, Southwest will offer:
- 2 additional nonstop flights from Kansas City to New Orleans, for a total of 3 nonstop options.
- 1 nonstop flight from Philadelphia to New Orleans.
On the day after the game, Sunday Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, Southwest will offer:
- 10 additional nonstop flights from New Orleans to Kansas City, for a total of 11 nonstop options.
- 6 nonstop flights from New Orleans to Philadelphia.

According to Southwest, “Fans traveling on Southwest during the big game on Feb. 9, 2025, will also be able to catch the action while onboard using the airline’s Inflight Entertainment Portal. Customers can connect to the portal and watch the game free with free live TV.”
Super Bowl LIX will see the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs look for their unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl title (and fourth in the last 6 years) against the Philadelphia Eagles, who are gunning for their second title in the last 8 years. Kansas City defeated Philadelphia in Super Bowl LVII two years ago.
