The National Hurricane Center is closely monitoring an Atlantic disturbance that could impact Disney World soon.

We want to make sure you are prepared and know what to expect in the coming days as the storm moves into the Gulf of Mexico.
The National Hurricane Center is keeping a close eye on a disturbance that is currently located in the Caribbean Sea. This disturbance has been designated as Tropical Cyclone Nine and is currently forecast to strengthen to near hurricane strength on Tuesday night.

The system is expected to continue to strengthen as it makes it way towards the northeastern Gulf Coast on Thursday. The current track from the National Hurricane Center is forecasting the system to impact Florida towards the end of this week.

Environmental conditions are favorable for development. Regardless of whether a system actually develops, the disturbance is expected to provide heavy rains over parts of Central America in the coming days.

Current computer models of the disturbance show that the storm could make landfall in Florida. Of course, the models are constantly shifting as the storm continues to move. However, it is important to plan ahead and be prepared that a storm could be impacting Florida soon.

If you have a trip coming up to Disney World, it is important to monitor weather reports and make safe decisions. If you are finding yourself at Disney World during a hurricane, do know that Disney World is well prepared.Â

While current models show the storm making landfall to the west of Orlando, models will be constantly changing, and the Orlando area could still feel impacts from the storm even if it isn’t in the direct path. However, the storm still has a way to travel so it is important to continue to monitor its status.
