If you are headed to Magic Kingdom after today, we have a reminder if you are hoping to ride TRON Lightcycle / Run.

Ever since TRON Lightcycle / Run opened in Magic Kingdom on April 4th, 2023, it has operated with a virtual queue. However, that is about to change!
Beginning tomorrow, September 9th, TRON Lightcycle / Run will no longer be using a virtual queue. Guests who are hoping to experience this ride can either wait in a standby line or purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass for the attraction.

We will be keeping an eye on TRON Lightcycle / Run tomorrow to see what kind of wait times the ride has. While the ride has utilized a standby line for special events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, this will be the first time the ride uses a standby line during normal operating hours.

What does that mean for you if you are heading to Magic Kingdom? You have two different options to ride TRON. You can either go to the attraction and stand in line, or you can purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass for the ride. The standby line wait time will be posted in the My Disney Experience app so you can check the wait time before you head to the attraction!

While TRON will no longer be using a virtual queue, there are still two attractions at Disney World that will. Both Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom will still require the use of the virtual queue system.

No more getting up at 7AM to try and get a virtual queue for TRON! However, if you are hoping to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the attraction will still be utilizing a virtual queue (or you can make a Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection).
