EPIC Universe has been the talk of the town recently.

The all-new Universal theme park in Orlando, Florida will open sometime in 2025. Universal has shared a few details about the 5 new lands that will be part of the park, but not everything is known yet. During the first announcement in January, we were introduced to each of the lands and shown concept art for the portals we will get to travel through to begin our journey within the lands. While each of these massive portals looks impressive, to say the least, we kinda felt like one missed the mark.
The new lands coming to EPIC Universe are How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, Celestial Park (where you enter to begin your park adventure), Dark Universe, Super Nintendo World, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic. The Chronos is the first portal you will journey through as you step foot into the park.

Once you’re in Celestial Park, you can head to any of the other four portals to step into any of the different lands. Now, let’s take a look at the concept art of the portal that will eventually take us into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter — The Ministry of Magic.

It is certainly amazing! We can’t wait to visit the Ministry! Up close, you can see the medallion that will eventually represent the land.

And we saw a really cool update on X by bioreconstruct on the construction of this portal! It looks like the structure is nearly complete. There appears to be some sort of golden statue with a wand on the very top.

So yes, the portal looks magical, but we still feel like Universal missed an opportunity (and perhaps a key detail from the Harry Potter series). If you recall, in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows the employee entrance into the Ministry of Magic was the toilets in a public restroom! The wizards and witches had to literally flush themselves down the toilet to enter the Ministry of Magic.
Therefore, a giant, golden toilet should be on the top of the portal to the new Ministry of Magic land!

Ok, so perhaps they didn’t want a golden toilet on top of their portal (but why wouldn’t you?), then it should have been a telephone booth at the very least. A red, abandoned telephone booth is the visitor entrance to the Ministry of Magic that Harry and Mr. Weasely go through by dialing 6-2-4-4-2 (MAGIC). So why not at least put a golden telephone booth on top of the portal?

We’re not overthinking this, right? True Harry Potter fans know what we’re saying, right? A golden toilet on top of the portal to the Ministry of Magic was a missed opportunity, and we will stand firmly on this ground. ?

We’re still awaiting more details about the Ministry of Magic, such as rides, restaurants, shops, and more that will be coming to the new land. But while we’re all not-so-patiently waiting, keep following AllEars!
