3 Hotels You Should AVOID at Disney World Right Now

Disney World involves a LOT of walking — around the parks, the hotels, and in between. But did you know there are some places you should AVOID walking?

Now, we don’t mean these places are off limits (but there are plenty of Cast Member areas, so don’t walk there!), but some parts of Disney World are actually really hard to navigate right now. Here are the few spots you should veer away from for the time being.

Yes, there is tons of construction going on in EPCOT, we talk about it every week, BUT we’re actually going to tell you to avoid the hotels that have construction projects going on, such as the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

Why is this? Because walking around this resort right now is like trying to find your way through a corn maze. The entrance to this restaurant is now over here, you can’t walk straight through the lobby anymore — the list goes on.

We’re very excited to see how the hotel looks after its transformation, but in the meantime, we suggest staying away. As this is one of the closest resorts to Magic Kingdom, you can walk to the park normally, but we don’t recommend it with all the construction.

It really is a maze

Other hotels like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and BoardWalk Inn also have their fair share of construction going on, so if you’re looking to avoid it altogether, we’d also recommend not taking a stroll around those either at this time.

Most of these construction projects are expected to be completed in late 2023 to early 2024, so if you’ve got your trip planned for after that timeline, you should be in good shape to do all the wandering and walking you’d like.
