Something NEW Is Coming to McDonald's…But It's a MYSTERY!

McDonald’s has been bringing us all kinds of new things lately.

We’ve seen new Happy Meal toys hit select stores, plans shared for a NEW type of McDonald’s restaurant, and new limited-edition menu items announced. But now they’ve teased something else and it has us scratching our heads…

McDonald’s is teasing fans with something new, but you’ll need some detective skills to figure it out. First, they posted a list of various movies and shows including Richie Rich (1994), Clueless, Space Jam, and various more. Interestingly, at the bottom of the list is Loki season 2. Hmmm…

The official Loki account actually responded to the Tweet and McDonald’s said “pretend not to see this.”

In another Tweet, McDonald’s shared various clips from shows and movies involving mentions of McDonald’s, like talk of a Big Mac and a Filet-o-Fish.

If you pause the video near the very end, you’ll see a SUPER quick appearance by Loki and Sylvie from what appears to be Loki season 2.

Following that, there is a screen on the retro TV that says 8.14.23. The text on the bottom mentions various copyrights for the material used in the clips and discusses how Loki season 2 will be streaming on October 6th on Disney+. That seems oddly close to the “release date” of whatever this new thing is at McDonald’s.

Another Tweet is captioned “coming soon” and the image says “Opening 8.14.23” and “as featured in.”

In the Loki season 2 trailer, there was a scene showing Sylvia in a retro McDonald’s employee uniform, so we’re seeing a LOT of McDonald’s and Loki ties here!

Thus far, McDonald’s hasn’t revealed just what this new surprise will be. Could it be a new menu item, meal (like the viral Grimace Birthday Meal), or Happy Meal toys? Or could it be something BIGGER? We’re SO curious.

The small text in one of McDonald’s pictures shares that whatever is coming should be at “participating McDonald’s for a limited time.” What do you think it’ll be? Tell us in the comments!
