Something NEW is coming to McDonald’s for a limited time and you won’t want to miss out!

We’ve seen all kinds of updates from the popular fast food chain lately — from NEW Disney Happy Meal toys to menu items that are hard to get. But soon, you’ll have another reason to run to the drive-through!
McDonald’s is inviting YOU to celebrate a very special birthday with some limited-time items. Whose birthday will you be celebrating? Why, Grimace’s of course! For those not familiar with him, Grimace is one of the classic McDonald’s characters.
What type of creature is he? We don’t quite know, but we do know that he is known for his fuzzy & purple look, his playful personality, and his love of shakes. He comes from Grimace Island and actually has a HUGE family.

So how can you celebrate Grimace’s birthday at McDonald’s? Well, there are a few ways. First, you can stop by McDonald’s to pick up the Grimace Birthday Meal! This meal comes with a limited-edition purple shake, your choice of a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, and fries. According to Today, the shake “consists of vanilla soft serve and berry flavors.”

According to McDonald’s, the “Grimace Birthday Meal and Shake will be available at participating McDonald’s restaurants nationwide, while supplies last starting June 12th via the McDonald’s App, drive-thru, McDelivery or in-restaurant.”
Be sure to use your app to check and see if it’s available at a McDonald’s location near you.

But there’s MORE. McDonald’s is also releasing an exclusive video game in collaboration with Krool Toys. You’ll be able to race around McDonald’s birthday scenes to find Grimace’s friends “in a quest to cut [Grimace’s] birthday cake.” The game website is still under construction, but it should be available to play for FREE on desktop computers and mobile devices starting June 12th.

Starting June 12th, you’ll also find Grimace-inspired merch, including socks and shirts, on the Golden Arches Unlimited website that you can purchase. Did you know you can buy a whole bunch of other McDonald’s items online right now, including a Big Mac Bag?!

Instead of party gifts, it seems Grimace has asked for fans to donate to a charity that’s close to his heart — Ronald McDonald House Charities. From June 13th through the 14th, YOU can help Roland McDonalds House Charities by visiting McDonald’s Instagram story. There will be an “add yours” sticker that’ll let you share a picture of your favorite birthday memory.
For every picture shared, McDonald’s will donate $5 to Ronald McDonald House Charities up to $200k.
