FIRST LOOK at the Disney World Food Festival You DON’T Need A Park Ticket For!

If you’re wanting to try out some new foods in Disney World, festivals might just be the way to go.

Flavors of Florida is back!

However, if you want to go to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, you’ll need a park ticket. If you want to attend the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Festival, you’ll need a special ticket. However, there’s one festival in Disney World that you don’t need a ticket for and it’s back!

That festival happens in Disney Springs and it’s called Flavors of Florida. As you can imagine, it’s all about celebrating the Sunshine State. We had the opportunity to preview what this event will be like when it begins July 1st.

First, we headed to Wine Bar George to taste TWO items coming to their restaurant for the event. First, we were able to hear from WDW Ambassador Raevon Redding about what exactly Flavors of Florida is and why it’s important to Disney.

Now, let’s get to the items Wine Bar George will be adding for the event. First, the Frozen Old Fashioned. This is an old fashioned made with Dole Whip Orange and Tennessee Whiskey.

Next, they will be adding the Dicuru Burrata which has many of its ingredients sourced in Florida including sourdough bread, corn, and tomatoes.

During the Flavors of Florida event, you could have the opportunity to view culinary demonstrations from chefs of Disney Springs restaurants. We were able to see a preview of this with a demonstration from Chef Jose Andres and his team at Jaleo.

Here we were able to watch chefs in the kitchen, cooking something Jaleo is known for, Paella. We also got to hear from Chef Jose Andres about his culinary experiences and charity work.

These culinary demonstrations are limited due to the intimate setting they will have. Guests will have a unique opportunity to watch chefs and restaurant owners be in their element and talk about their passions of food and drinks.

These culinary demonstrations will be taking place outside at Waterview Park in Disney Springs, however, due to the weather, we had to move inside Jaleo.
