Annual Passholders, we have some BIG news for you!

Disney has been rapidly evolving over the last few years, a process that has been met with plenty of mixed reviews. With the return of Bob Iger as CEO near the end of last year, many have been wondering what changes he would bring. Well, today we got a BIG ONE, folks.
Disney just announced that the park reservation system is going to be relaxed for Passholders soon. Currently, the park pass reservation system requires guests to make a reservation for the park they wish to go to on a given day, and Annual Passholders have a limited number of passes they can secure.

Beginning in the next few months, however, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders won’t need a park pass reservation to visit the parks after 2PM, with the exception of Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays.

Disney maintains that the park pass reservation system is an important way to manage the crowds in the parks, so it’s not going away entirely, but this bit of relaxation on the system will allow a little more spontaneity for Passholders. Park blockout days will also remain.

Disney has also said that “Passholders will also receive access to Disney PhotoPass lenses and one complimentary Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories experience.”

Disney hasn’t yet released the exact date that these changes will happen, but stay tuned. We’ll keep you updated as soon as new information is released.
