FIRST LOOK at TRON Ride Experience and Queue in Magic Kingdom!

TRON Lightcycle Run (the TRON coaster) will be opening in Magic Kingdom in the spring of 2023!

We’ve been keeping a close eye on the construction of the ride, have gotten a unique glimpse of it via the reopened Walt Disney World railroad, and have even heard some TRON music testing, but today we got a HUGE update!

On Christmas Day 2022, Good Morning America shared a special look at the TRON queue and the on-ride experience!

Things started with a look at the queue!

Looks like it’s quite dark in here with bright blue lights illuminating your way as you take a trip into the Grid!

Then the GMA team made their way over to the ride vehicles.

In the video, you catch a glimpse at a TRON jacket as they head to the vehicles.

Here’s a peek at the loading area, with each of the GMA team members in a separate row, ready to get on their Lightcycle!

Then it was time to board! You could see the backrest lower once they were in position.

Then, the on-ride audio advises guests to hold on and face forward!

Time to go!

After passing by more light effects…

…it was time to BLAST OFF!

We were able to see the team on the outside portion of the ride…

…and as they went through certain covered areas.

Plus we got a peek at one portion where it looks like you can see a competing team digitally racing nearby…

…and a look at other special effects!

It looks like it could be one epic experience!

Keep in mind that TRON is set to open in Disney World in the spring of 2023, but no exact opening date has been shared as of yet. We’ll continue to look for updates and share those with you!
