Disney World's NEW 50th Anniversary Jacket Is a REAL Throwback!

Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration started last year, but the party is still going strong!

Disney’s 50th Anniversary Vault Collection

In honor of the celebration, the Cinderella Castle got a new look, some golden 50th Anniversary character statues appeared around the parks, tons of new treats debuted, AND new merchandise was released. Some of that merchandise is part of the 50th Anniversary Vault Collection, which is all about vintage-inspired Disney World items!

A new item has been added to the Vault Collection, too, and this souvenir is a throwback to 1976 when Disney World celebrated its 5th birthday! Check out the new Vault Collection “America On Parade” Varsity Jacket, which features some retro Disney World details. This navy blue jacket has white sleeves and a gray hood, making it the perfect jacket for cool spring weather.

The back of the jacket has an “America on Parade” graphic with Mickey, Goofy, and Donald. 1976 was also America’s Bicentennial, which celebrated 200 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Disney even created a special parade to celebrate the event!

We found this jacket at Celebrity 5 & 10 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for $99.99. We later saw it at Island Mercantile at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This one might sell out fast, so head on over to Disney World as soon as you can!
