There’s just something so great about kicking back at home and watching your favorite shows and movies with a click of a button on streaming services!

But, there’s a big change coming to a popular streaming service SOON that you’re going to want to know about!
Deadline has announced that Hulu will be raising its prices by a dollar for its tiers, as the ad-supported Hulu hops from $5.99 a month to $6.99 and the ad-free version raises from $11.99 to $12.99. This comes after both Disney+ and ESPN+ experienced price increases, although the new Hulu price bump doesn’t affect the Disney Bundle or Hulu’s live TV service.

According to Deadline, part of this change is due to the fact that Hulu has been making quite a bit when it comes to ad revenue, as this year is expected to be over $3 million. The on-demand for Hulu has also risen 22% to 39.1 million subscribers compared to the year earlier, as stated in Disney’s recent fiscal quarter that ended July 3rd.

However, another major reason the price increase is happening is because of the amount of content that has been arriving on Hulu. Bollywood titles and Hotstar originals have been arriving on Hulu, along with the streaming service’s popular original series and movies.

The new price increase will go into effect next month on Hulu, starting October 8th. And, you can be sure to stay tuned with AllEars for the latest Disney entertainment and news coming soon!
