When Disneyland officially reopens, things are going to be a LOT different.

Not only will the resort be limited to 15% capacity, but it’s likely Disney could limit guests to those only from California — at least temporarily. Guests will also need to make park pass reservations — similar to the reservations guests at Disney World must make.
But some other changes are coming to Disneyland, too. FASTPASS will no longer be available for rides, and the Disney MaxPass service will not be available for purchase.

Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hours are also suspended until further notice. Rides could also be modified to meet health and safety guidelines — we’ve already seen evidence of this on the upcoming Web Slingers: A Spiderman Adventure — a recent sneak peek of the attraction showed plexiglass dividers near the ride’s loading area.

A lot of entertainment, including fireworks and parades, is also suspended indefinitely. Character meet and greets will be unavailable, although Disney has assured guests that characters will still be present in the parks, probably like the character cavalcades and interactions at Disney World.
Right now, we don’t have a definitive opening date for Disneyland, but the state of California recently cleared theme parks for opening as of April 1st. We expect an announcement of an opening date from Disney soon.

In the meantime, Disney California Adventure is hosting the A Touch of Disney event that runs from March 18th. That ticketed event will allow guests to shop and dine throughout that theme park, but rides will not be available.
As always, these situations continue to change, so we’ll be sure to keep you updated on the latest.
