Cirque du Soleil fans — it seems your dreams of seeing a Disney-inspired Cirque du Soleil show in Disney World will have to wait a while longer to come true.

Although some entertainment experiences around Disney World have returned in new and unique ways, this new Cirque du Soleil show has been delayed until next year!
Just yesterday, we shared that the new Cirque du Soleil show coming to Disney Springs called “Drawn to Life” would be delayed until November 17th, 2020.

When we looked at the Cirque du Soleil ticket website today, however, we saw that tickets were only available for show dates starting on February 10th, 2021.

The banner on the page seems to confirm this. It lists the show dates for Drawn to Life as February 10th, 2021 through March 31st, 2021. So, it seems the opening date for this show has been pushed from November, all the way to February of next year.

Tickets start at $79. When we went to look at the seats available, it looked like the tickets priced at $79 were sold out at the moment.

In fact, when we checked again just moments later, the calendar showed that tickets start at $95. It seems things are constantly changing, so you’ll definitely want to check on the Cirque du Soleil website to see if the tickets you want are available.

Unfortunately this is not the first or even the second time this show has had to be delayed. It was originally scheduled to open in March of this year, with an official debut set for April. We even got some fun sneak peeks at it a few months ago. But, due to the global pandemic, the opening date of the show was delayed indefinitely.

An opening date was then announced for early November of 2020, but then pushed back to later in the month.

The show follows the story of Julie, a young girl who grows up surrounded by the magic of Disney and whose father was a Disney animator. After her father passes away, Julie finds a piece of unfinished animation he had started. She then goes on an adventure to finish the piece and encounters several Disney characters from her childhood.

We’ll definitely keep you posted as we hear more updates about this show in the future.
