California has started to put new guidelines and restrictions in place around the state.

While Anaheim has released a face covering mandate, Orange County will be closing its bars as a health precaution. California will also be shutting down indoor operations for restaurants, movie theaters, and more in different counties.
And, Orange County will be closing its many of its beaches from July 3rd through July 6th according to the Orange County Register. The L.A. County Department of Public Health has issued an order that “all county beaches, piers, parking lots, beach bike paths on the sand portion of the shore, beach bike paths of the sand portion of the shore, and beach access points” will be temporarily closed.

State Parks will also be closing like the beaches, including Leo Carrillo State Park, Malibu Lagoon State Beach, Malibu Pier, Point Dume, and Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach.
State Parks beaches like Bolsa Chica, Huntington State, Crystal Cove, Doheny, San Clemente, and San Onofre state beaches will be closing their parking lots throughout the holiday weekend from July 3rd through July 5th.

Seal Beach will be closing its beach parking lots at 6PM and its beaches, the pier and its restrooms, the tot lot playground, volleyball courts, and other beach amenities at 10 PM on July 3rd. They will re-open on July 5th at sunrise.
The Huntington Beach City Council will be closing all city beaches, Huntington Harbor beaches, Sunset Beach, and the pier on July 4th. The beaches will have parking restrictions, but lots will still be open. The bike path will also be open. The city manager can also choose to close the areas on July 3rd and July 5th, if it’s deemed necessary.

Newport Beach will also be shutting down its beaches, most beach parking lots, and the pier on July 4th and July 5th. However, Crystal Cove State Park will still be open with parking restrictions. Laguna Beach will be closed on July 4th as well.
Dana Point hasn’t made any changes, but Doheny State Beach will have parking restrictions. San Clemente State Beach will have parking restrictions too, but no closures at this time. County beaches at the Strands, Salt Creek, Capistrano, and Poche beaches haven’t announced any changes. San Diego state beaches will also be closing parking lots, but the city and county run beaches will be open.

However, this could change according to Governor Gavin Newsom’s orders and guidance from officials. Beaches and state parks could stay closed longer depending on what it necessary.
