Disney’s Riviera Resort opens on December 16, 2019; and we have just been treated to some details about what you can expect at the new resort’s pools and recreation areas.

The resort’s feature pool will be named Riviera Pool and have you thinking you’re lounging on the Southern European coast with its colorful sun umbrellas and decor.

Kids will enjoy the Riviera Pool’s water slide that will be incorporated into the stone turret that is a part of the poolscape.  Plus, the S’il Vous Play pool, inspired by grand European fountains, will offer kids a place to splash and have fun in a fountain area featuring characters characters from Disney Fantasia.

A nearby movie lawn will offer the perfect place for families to watch Disney films as they lounge poolside.

The resort’s Beau Soleil leisure pool will offer a tranquil setting surrounded by a natural, lush-green wall, creating a semi-private pool experience. This will be a place to relax and enjoy a bit of quiet time beneath shaded seating areas, all nestled amidst a grove of palm trees.

Bar Riva will be the resort’s open-air pool bar offering a seaside vibe. Bar Riva’s menu will include cold beverages and refreshments.

Keep fit on the resort’s waterfront promenade that will offer  views of the resort’s European-inspired landscapes. Guests will be able to walk through a tunnel archway with water features, to access the resort’s Disney Skyliner station.
