I dug all the way back to 2008 for this “Lucky Shot”. I can’t believe it’s been that long ago. I still remember the exact moment that I snapped this one. I was walking from Adventureland over the bridge by Crystal Palace and noticed that the stage show was happening in front of Cinderella Castle. Just then I realized that it was very close to the time the fireworks were going to go off. I quickly lifted my camera and turned towards the castle, just in time to catch the sparkle of the fireworks. I didn’t have time to change any of my settings or even frame the shot – I just lifted and snapped… pretty lucky!

Now, I’d love to say that this is the exact picture that resulted from that moment, but I did feel like I wanted to spruce it up a bit. The straight out of the camera shot was pretty cool, but with a little post-processing, I am able to show you just what I saw in that moment.
