Sometimes we try gadgets that just aren’t it and aren’t worth the money at Disney World, but we gotta say, this $29 investment is worth every penny.

Meet the AMKEN Personal Waist Fan. We know it looks silly, but don’t knock it quite yet.

This little thing clips onto your waistband, belt bag, backpack straps, or anything else you’d like and provides you with your own little air system. It has three different speeds, but we kept it on the highest, which provided us the most relief. It was SO helpful when we were waiting in line for an attraction in the blasting sunlight.

It has a standard USB port to charge, and it was a bit heavier than we thought it should be, but it was so worth it when it helped with the heat. We also used it to cool down our phones when they overheated, which was really nice, too. You can also set it on a table to get some relief. While we think it was a little loud, it wasn’t obnoxious in any way, and Disney World is so loud that we don’t think anyone heard it besides us.
