This Is My Favorite EPCOT Festival, and If You Don’t Agree You’re Wrong

Festivals are serious business at EPCOT. Over the past several decades, events including the Festival of the Arts, the Flower & Garden Festival, the Festival of the Holidays, and, of course, the International Food & Wine Festival have become the park’s signature events. The key question is: Which is BEST?

We polled our staff — including our YouTube team — to see which of EPCOT’s festivals is the creme de la creme.

As one might expect giving the various differences between EPCOT’s fest, love was show pretty much across the board for each of the events.

Let’s begin with the “new” kid on the block, the Festival of the Arts. First held in 2017, the Festival of the Arts takes place in late January and early February each year, and has quickly become a fan favorite thanks to its amazing and unique artwork, top-tier entertainment, and stunning and delicious eats spread throughout the park.

The Festival of the Arts was a favorite for several members of our team, including Emma, who declared it beautiful and fun, and said that she also loves “the artists they bring in that show off all kinds of style of art AND the broadway performers are a hit for me.” Her only complaint? The festival is too short, lasting just about a month, while the park’s other major fests stretch far longer.

Fry Bucket also voted in favor of Festival of the Arts, saying of the event that it’s “pretty, has fun food, love the Broadway exhibit, and I LOVE looking at Disney art so I just stroll around the park.”

While that’s some high praise, the Festival of the Arts wasn’t the only festival to garner votes.

The classic granddaddy of ’em all, EPOCT’s International Food & Wine Festival was chosen by both Sage and Myranda. Both offered high praise to the fest’s food options, naturally, while Sage was also quick to discuss the festival’s fall vibes, as its usual run from late August through mid-November carries through the season.

Meanwhile, JP showed some love to the Festival of the Holidays, saying of the event, “I love the decorations, the atmosphere, and a lot of the food offerings are a little bit more picky eater, friendly because kids especially enjoy the festival since it happens during the holiday season. Not to mention that just this past year my parents got to experience it for the first time, and getting to introduce that to them was really special. Also, the candlelight processional makes me tear up every time.”

Finally, both Craig and Quincy voiced their love for the Flower & Garden Festival. The springtime event, which first launched in 1994, brings “fresh flavors, vibrant topiaries, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun across all of EPCOT.”
