Permanent Closure Announced for a Universal Orlando Ride in 2027

Universal Orlando has dropped a HUGE announcement!

Universal Orlando

You have one more year to enjoy the Fast and Furious-themed attraction at Universal Studios Orlando, as it was just announced that the ride will permanently be closing in 2027. Let’s take a look at the details!

It’s official, Fast & Furious: Supercharged will permanently close in 2027. Universal has yet to announce an official date as to when the ride is closing, but it is confirmed to be leaving the park for good next year!

Fast and the Furious: Supercharged

The ride wasn’t extremely popular, as it didn’t offer as much thrill or as immersive an experience as other attractions in the park. That being said, it was an enjoyable attraction, and one that fans of the Fast and Furious franchise could appreciate.

Fans of the franchise don’t need to worry, because Fast and Furious isn’t going anywhere. In fact, the ride is closing to make way for a NEW Fast and Furious ride at Universal Orlando. No, the attraction won’t be replacing the one that is permanently closing. It will be replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit — which closed last year.

Universal just announced that Hollywood Drift is officially coming to Universal Studios Florida in 2027. This Fast and Furious ride is completely different than the one Florida had. It’s a high-speed coaster featuring 360-degree drifting vehicles and a 170-foot vertical spike.

This same roller coaster is actually coming to Universal Hollywood in 2026. We were hoping we’d get the same experience when we heard about it, and our dream has come true!

We’re so excited for this new experience to come to Universal Orlando, even though it’s always tough to say goodbye to an attraction. The next question is — what replaces Fast & Furious: Supercharged? Only time will tell! For more Universal news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to AllEars.
