We Weren't Expecting to See This in Disney Springs Today

We were expecting Lime Garage to close in Disney Springs today, but we also came across another closure we weren’t expecting. It sounds like the refurbishment wasn’t anticipated by some Cast Members either. Disney is usually pretty good about updating hours and posting refurbishment announcements, but this closure seems unexpected or overlooked.

Marketplace Snacks was closed today

While we were in Disney Springs today, we noticed that Marketplace Snacks was closed and its menus had been removed. We spoke with Cast Members who were in the kitchen at the stand, and they confirmed it was under refurbishment, but didn’t know for how long. Hours are still showing on the Disney World website, and when we spoke with Guest Relations Cast Members, they were unaware of any closure at Marketplace Snacks.

Marketplace Snacks was supposed to be open from 11 AM until 11 PM today, but the stand is currently closed. This snack stand serves up a variety of waffle sundaes inspired by Disney characters. It may have been an unexpected closure, and the website will be updated eventually, or it may have been a temporary closure, and the snack stand may reopen soon. We don’t know for sure right now, but we will keep an eye out!

The good news is that even though Marketplace Snacks unexpectedly closed today, there are still SO many dining options in Disney Springs. You can find just about anything you might be craving at Disney Springs. There are more than 150 shops, restaurants, and other venues. Whether you want some homestyle cooking from Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Restaurant, some delectable pastries from Amorette’s Patisserie, or are in the mood for Pan-Asian cuisine from Morimoto Asia, you have lots of options!

There are also plenty of options if you are looking for something grab-and-go. You can find snack carts serving popcorn and ice cream novelties, churro carts, pretzel stands, plenty of quick-service restaurants, and more.
