We’ve been visiting Epic Universe in Universal Orlando a lot since it opened because there is so much to see, do, and eat throughout its five lands. One of the things we also like to do is take advantage of Early Theme Park Admission so we can hop on some rides without shorter lines.

Now, not all rides are open in Epic Universe during Early Theme Park Admission, but we recently got a big surprise when we took advantage of getting into the park early.
In Epic Universe, only some rides are usually available when you use Early Theme Park Admission. Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Yoshi’s Adventure, Mine-Cart Madness, Stardust Racers, Constellation Carousel, Monsters Unchained, and Curse of the Werewolf. As you can see, this list doesn’t include anything in How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk.

But when we arrived at Epic Universe early, guess what we noticed? The app was already showing wait times for both Hiccup’s Winged Gliders, Fyre Drill, and Dragon Racer’s Rally, all the rides that are in How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk. And, yes, those rides were available for Early Theme Park Admission.

These rides are still not listed as open during this time on the Universal Orlando website, so we can’t guarantee you’ll experience what we did, but you still might be in for a surprise the next time you enter the parks early.
Note that Early Theme Park admission is open to all Universal Orlando hotel guests and select Annual Passholders. So if you fall into one of those categories, be sure to take advantage of it. It’s a great way to experience the parks with shorter wait times.
Check back with AllEars again soon for more.
