Disney World’s latest lounge – The Perch at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa – is here, and we’ve tried the bar’s NEW signature drinks!

Located in the Deluxe Resort’s lobby, The Perch pays tribute to the massive ornamental birdcage that once occupied the space where it sits, but also to the hotel’s overall Victorian Floridian resort theme. That extended to its drink menu, which is headlined by exclusive cocktails that channel local flavors.
We had a chance to visit The Perch prior to the lounge’s November 10th grand opening during a soft opening the prior weekend. First off, this bar is gorgeous.

It first right into the Grand Floridian’s aesthetic with beautiful wood carvings and Victorian-appropriate details.

Now, on to the drinks:
Let’s begin with the Sunshine State Rum Sazerac, which features Siesta Key Coffee Rum, Demerara, Absinthe Rinse, Peychaud’s Bitters, and lemon essence for $17.50.

To be blunt, this drink is NOT to be missed. In fact, it may be one of our favorite cocktails at Disney World. The flavors blend together quite well, with the coffee taste particularly standing out without being overpowering. On top of that, the price is right! In fact, being under $20 makes it a “steal” compared to many other on-property cocktails.
Next up, there’s the $22 Floridian 75, which features Fords Gin, Florida Citrus Cordial, and lemon topped with Taittinger ‘La Francaise’ Brut Champagne.

While this one comes in at just a tick below the Sunshine State Rum Sazerac, we still really enjoyed it! It has a bubbly texture and a citrusy flavor profile similar to a French 75, but featuring an elevated lemon zest.
We also tried the $8.00 Blueberry and Basil Iced Tea.

This non-alcoholic drink was a tasty option for those who want to take in the gorgeous ambiance of The Perch without imbibing in alcohol.
During our visit, we were also able to speak to a member of the food and beverage team, who reiterated to us that the menu was based around local Floridian flavors.

In addition to their signature cocktails, The Perch will also offer a full wine list:

There will also be three locally brewed beers for $11.75 each:
-
- 3 Daughters Beach Blonde Ale from St. Petersburg, Florida
- Funky Buddha Floridian Hefeweizen from Oakland Park, Florida
- Cigar City Jai Alai IPA, Tampa, Florida

The Perch is ready to break out of its cage – sorry, we couldn’t resist – at the Grand Floridian, and the lounge’s two signature cocktails had us feeling sky high about the location’s potential! Stay tuned to AllEars for more on everything new coming to Disney World.

Man! Anyone who can buy these drinks sure have a high standard of living!
Looks great, every lobby should have a bar lol. One thing, that tile/ carpet around the bar is distracting and doesn’t fit at all, besides that it looks amazing
