According to Entertainment Weekly, a Disney World guest has passed away after a “medical emergency” at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The Orange County Medical Examiner confirmed the name of the guest, Matthew Cohn, who passed away on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025.
Currently, the cause of Cohn’s death is not known. A representative from the Medical Examiner’s office wrote in an email, “His examination is not yet complete, therefore the Cause of Death and Manner of Death have not been determined,” per Entertainment Weekly.
This is the third reported death in a week at a Disney World resort, and the second to occur at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
