REVIEW: Is This Still One of the BEST Meals at EPCOT?

Planning a trip to Disney World and not sure where you should eat while you’re there? Luckily, you’ve come to the right place!

Rose and Crown

Here at AllEars, we know all the ins and outs of Disney restaurants — including where you should definitely eat, and where you should skip. We recently stopped by Rose & Crown in the UK Pavilion at EPCOT and are bringing you our FULL review!

Background

This cozy little pub tucked into EPCOT’s United Kingdom pavilion offers a hearty, delicious menu of British favorites, including Shepherd’s Pie, Fish and Chips, and more.

At night, folks who purchase an EPCOT Fireworks Dining Package can also take in a meal with views of Luminous — The Symphony of Us on the World Showcase Lagoon.

Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant.

Atmosphere

There is both indoor and outdoor seating at Rose and Crown, and it’s connected to the pub, which doesn’t serve food. It feels like a traditional British pub in here, down to the dark wood tones and warm lighting.

There are a few different dining rooms and areas, but from our experience, they’re all relatively similar (aside from the outdoor seating!).

But enough about that, what are we eating?!

Food & Drinks

To kick things off, we ordered the Scotch Egg, which is $15. This is a golden-fried hard-boiled cage-free egg wrapped in sausage with mustard sauce.

It’s hard to go wrong with a Scotch Egg, though we’ve had some really greasy ones in our day. Luckily, this ins’t that. It’s hearty, protein-rich, and definitely shareable. It’s pretty large, as well, which helps to justify the $15 price tag.

For our main course, we grabbed the Shepherd’s Pie for $29. This is ground beef, seasonal vegetables, English peas, and mashed potatoes with Irish cheddar. Since it’s made with beef and not lamb, it’s technically cottage pie, but we’ll leave it to the Brits to be upset about that.

This is a classic, and for good reason. It’s really hearty, well-seasoned, and has plenty of mashed potatoes, meat, veggies, and gravy. It’s definitely a heavy dish, which can be a lot in the middle of an EPCOT day, so we’d recommend splitting this or having it for dinner instead. It’s easily shareable, and you’ll still be plenty full!

And finally, for dessert, we picked up the Sticky Toffee Pudding for $9.50. This is a Sticky Toffee Pudding with custard, caramel, and crunchy honeycomb pieces.

This is one of the best Sticky Toffee Puddings you’ll find in Orlando, and probably Florida, too. It’s warm, it’s got lots of that nutty, sweet flavor from the toffee — but it doesn’t get stuck in your teeth. We loved the crunch, and the pudding itself wasn’t dry at all — it was perfectly moist. It’s incredibly indulgent, though, so keep that in mind if you’re already full!

So, is Rose and Crown worth a stop at EPCOT?
