REVIEW: This Disney World Snack Spot Might Be Doomed, But It’s Going Out with a BANG

Huge changes are coming to Animal Kingdom, and while we’re excited about them, it does mean we’ll have to say goodbye to some old favorites.

Dino Bite Snacks

Dino-Bite Snacks and Trilo-Bites in DinoLand U.S.A. will officially close on October 20th, but it looks like one of these snack spots is trying to go out with a bang by introducing a new snack just days before it closes! Of course, you know we had to check it out for ourselves.

We stopped by Dino-Bite Snacks to check out a new ice cream sandwich! We’re not sure why this new snack debuted just days before this snack stand is closing for good, but we’re always down to try a new snack! We grabbed the Spiced Molasses Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich for $8.79.

New Dino-Bite snacks sandwich

This is made with Spiced Molasses Cookies, Häagen-Dazs Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, and fall sprinkles.

It’s sad that Dino-Bite Snacks will be closing soon, because they’ve truly mastered the art of making a cookie that can handle a serious scoop of ice cream — especially ice cream as dense as Häagen-Dazs, which they serve here. The cookie isn’t crunchy at all, yet it’s unbelievably sturdy while staying soft and chewy enough to blend perfectly with the ice cream. The textures together make for the quintessential ice cream sandwich.

The autumn leaf–shaped sprinkles around the edges are colorful, cheerful, and add just the right amount of crunch and extra sugar. But the star of the show is that incredible spiced molasses cookie — rich, warm, and packed with deep molasses flavor and cozy autumnal spices. This is a worthy farewell for this location, if you ask us!

Lots of sprinkles

We’ll be on the lookout for more new snacks and updates you need to know about from Animal Kingdom and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news and more!
