New construction has popped up at Disney World in one of the most bizarre locations.
It might seem like almost everywhere you visit in Disney World is currently under construction. We’ve seen hotel construction come and go, lots of construction recently in closings of attractions and lands for expansion projects in the parks, and even some road construction, as Disney World is in a constant state of progress. However, we’ve found new evidence of mysterious construction surrounding a section of Disney World that hasn’t been utilized in years — and we’re looking to get to the bottom of what’s going on!
We’ve spotted some mysterious construction around Disney World in one of the most unlikely places we thought we’d spot it. While there are certainly spots we know to either avoid or learn to work around while visiting Disney World, we’ve learned to always keep our eyes open for the unexpected, too!
While visiting the TTC, we’ve noticed a huge change seemingly overnight! There are big walls up covering five ticket booths on the west side of the Transportation & Ticket Center (the same side that the ferry boat docks on). Construction walls are strategically placed both in front of the booths and behind them.
We stopped to ask three different Cast Members working around the TTC about the walls and how long we might expect them to be there, and each one said they didn’t know what was happening.
This is a fairly big change at Disney World, as it has been YEARS since we’ve seen all of the ticket booths utilized at the same time at the TTC. A vast majority of people buy their tickets online in advance or as part of vacation packages probably contributes to the reduction of booths used. This means these booths that are currently behind walls have been obsolete for quite a while now.
