Making dining reservations can be HARD in Disney World, but thankfully, using the My Disney Experience app can sometimes make it a little easier.

However, there can still be complications with app glitches, not finding the time you want (or it doesn’t show up at all), or anything in between. Thankfully, some recent changes in the app now make it even EASIER to book dining reservations!
UPDATE: On June 24th, we noticed that Disney appeared to have removed these updates, reverting both the app and website back to their previous versions. We’re not sure if this is a permanent change or not, so stay tuned for updates!
Now, on the website and My Disney Experience app, Disney has removed the “Morning/Afternoon/Dinner” displays, and now you can adjust the scroll to select the hours you’re interested in! You can also select a date range when looking at multiple restaurants giving you even more options than before.

The filters are also greatly enhanced, whereas before they were pretty small and hard to see. You can select what park(s) or areas you’re looking to dine at.

When you select the park you’re looking at, you can also select nearby resorts, if you’d like to see what restaurants are available.

Also, at specific restaurants, you’ll see a calendar like this. The green dot indicates there are reservations available on those days!

There’s also a new way to save your credit card info! The “MyDisney Wallet” is new and is used instead of automatically populating the credit card info you’ve stored in My Disney Experience. To clarify, once we went into “search my cards,” we were able to choose the card we already had in there, so it is still stored — you just have to actively give it permission to add to your MyDisney Wallet.

Now, if you don’t want the app to save your cards, that’s okay! You’ll just select “No, Thanks,” and you’ll need to manually input your card info in each time. We’ll keep our eye out for any additional changes, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars!
