“It’s SO Worth It!” Disney Adults Either LOVE or HATE This Disney World Hotel

There are dozens of hotels on Disney World property, and it can be a challenge to decide where to stay!

Caribbean Beach Resort

From value resorts that help keep your budget on the lower end to deluxe resorts that offer special amenities and luxury accommodations, there’s a broad variety when it comes to the hotels. But there’s one hotel that people seem to have VERY mixed opinions about — Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort!

On the Reviews section of the AllEars website, we have a spot where you can review every Disney World Resort. And Caribbean Beach has some good reviews…as well as some not-so-good ones.

Caribbean Beach Resort

The top review gives Caribbean Beach 9/10 stars, saying:

“This resort always gets a bad rep because it’s big, and it is, but it’s so worth it! It’s a gorgeous resort with one of the best pools on property. The vibe here is so fun. Food is good. Skyliner is a plus. Riviera being steps away is also a plus; they have amazing food there. It’s nice to relax in a hammock after a long park day and play in the sand. Gorgeous views. I highly recommend this resort. The rooms are very nice as well.”

It lists the Skyliner, pool, and “beauty” of the resort as pros, while adding that the downside to Caribbean Beach is its massive size.

Another person shared the same rating, noting;

“My husband and I made a whirlwind trip from Louisiana to Walt Disney World over the Memorial Day holiday and, of course, we had to stay at our favorite resort, Caribbean Beach. Over the years, we have spent hundreds of nights at the resort and it has never let us down. We were in Aruba building 52 which was conveniently placed near the Riviera Resort Skyliner and within walking distance of the Aruba bus stop. Given that the trip was a short one, we only ate in the food court a couple of times but both times that we did, we were satisfied. We will be going back for our annual 16 day stay in November, and I’ll be able to provide more details/review after that trip.”

Caribbean Beach Resort

But not everyone had positive things to say! One person described it as the worst Disney experience they’d ever had, saying:

“This was literally the worst Disney experience we have EVER had. We paid for two Waterview rooms, and ended up getting Standard View rooms (basically all we could see was the other buildings). It was an upcharge of about $172 per room for the length of our stay, so around $344 total. To top it off, none of the plugs or USB plus in either room worked, and the AC in one of the rooms broke and then leaked water, at least 2 inches deep, into one room and stretching into the second room. Overall, the staff was unhelpful to say the least.”

Fuentes del Morro Pool

Another reader said, “Room was OK. Fridge super tiny. I found the maintenance lacking. There were towels and trash outside of the rooms. Housekeeping didn’t make the beds and didn’t do a very good job. Don’t think I’ll be back.”

Caribbean Cay Island

The majority of the negative reviews seem to be from people who stayed at this resort in 2020 or 2021 before Disney began renovating the rooms. Many called it “outdated,” so we’re thankful that the rooms are getting much-needed love now!

New rooms

Ultimately, it seems that you may have mixed experiences at this hotel, so it depends on what you’re looking for in your Disney Resort stay. The Skyliner is a big pro for many, but the size of the resort can be pretty daunting.
