Have you heard of “The Greatest Show in Sports”? We’re talking about the Savannah Bananas. They’re a baseball team that plays a unique brand of baseball called Banana Ball. It’s filled with showmanship, trick plays, fan participation, and more wacky antics.
Well, the Savannah Bananas are coming to Disneyland. Disneyland Resort will offer a one-day-only experience that will feature special entertainment, as well as themed food and beverages, on May 28th! It will be perfect for both Disney and Banana Ball fans.
The team made the announcement, with a special appearance from Mickey Mouse himself, at their home game in Savannah, Georgia. What’s also exciting is that their visit on May 28th is just in time to catch Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary celebration.
“This is the perfect collab for The Bananas. When you’re at Disney, you can be whoever you want. It’s a place that (as corny as this sounds) can unlock the magic for you. And we’re so excited to help bring that magic to Anaheim!” said Savannah Bananas second baseman and greatest showman, Jackson Olson.
Here is a list of the things coming for the Savannah Banana day at Disneyland:
- Savannah Bananas Cavalcade
- Savannah Bananas Castle Dance
- Specialty Treats in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure! In Disneyland, grab the Banana Split at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor or the Banana Pudding at Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree. In DCA, grab the Banoffee Pie Cold Brew at the Cappuccino Cart and the Banana Split Churro at the Churro Cart near Goofy’s Sky School
On top of that, the Bananas will also play at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, on May 30th and 31st. Those games, as well as nine others, will be available on Disney+!
