There are many Disney World hotels to choose from, and it might seem overwhelming to decide which one to stay at. Do you want to see animals outside your window at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, or are you looking for fun theming for kids like you can find at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort?

There is a hotel for just about anyone at Disney World. Whether you are willing to spend more for a fancy hotel or you would rather save money at a value hotel, you have options. Now, you just have to decide which one is best for your family.
We often talk about the best hotels at Disney World, but there is also value to knowing which hotels to avoid. We asked our readers what hotels they avoid at all costs, and we are sharing them with you so you can be aware. We aren’t saying that you shouldn’t stay at these hotels, but we want you to know about the experiences of others so you can make an informed decision. Let’s see which hotels our readers said made their “never again” list!
Disney’s All-Star Resorts
This was a very common response from our readers! Some of them specified specific resorts within the All-Star Resorts. Ally, Ranae, and Lynn wouldn’t want to stay at All-Star Movies again, while Heather and Kat disliked All-Star Sports. However, others, including Erin, Amelia, and Katy have put all of the All-Star Resorts on their “never again” list.

Ally stated that it was just too crowded. Kelley also wrote that the resort has thin walls, small rooms, and you are sharing buses.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
This was another hotel that popped up a lot. Heather wrote that it was “old and musty”, and Lee said that it was “too spread out” and the “front desk staff were not so magical upon arrival.” Jill also agreed, saying, “It’s just too big and it doesn’t feel like ‘Disney.”

Christopher also said that he avoids it “because it is way too big and the buildings are scattered.” Donna was also in agreement with the resort being way too big and spread out. They struggled getting their luggage and wheelchair to their room in the Barbados section and were ” too exhausted to walk that 1/2 mile back to the lobby for dinner.”
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
You might be surprised to see this hotel on this list. However, many of our readers said this was a “never again” hotel. A lot of readers, including Savanna and James, agreed that this hotel is not worth the cost. James wrote that there is “nothing Grand about it. Except the Grand a night cost.”

Other readers like Linda also said it felt too “foofey”, and Beth said that it is way “too bougie” and wouldn’t feel comfortable staying there.
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Many readers didn’t like the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Keri wrote that “from the room, to the restaurant we ate at, to the convention atmosphere, this is a resort I’d rather not pay to stay at.” Roger also agreed that it is a convention center with no Disney theming. Those attending the convention end up taking over the main building. He also disliked how far away your room can be from where you can eat.

Sara also wrote that she “did not feel like we were in the bubble at all. Didn’t feel “Disney”, food was meh, everything too spread out.” Kim chimed in, saying that the room was “worn and appeared dirty,” “the carpet was all stained and filthy,” and it was “very far away from everything.”

Again, just because a hotel made this list doesn’t mean it isn’t the right hotel for you. These were just some of the hotels that our readers have on their “never again” lists.

My Obsessive Quest for the Best Disney World Hotel Room
What Disney World hotel do you avoid at all costs? Let us know in the comments!
I agree on Coronado Springs. We stayed in the Casitas and the building just seemed worn. In addition, we could not call the front desk from our room and despite multiple requests over 3 days, that was never addressed.
