It’s time for another look at what Disney World rides closed the most often in the month of April!

Why do we take a look at these every month? Well, it helps you plan for your upcoming trip — this way, you can have Plans B, C, and D in place in case Plan A involves one of your favorite attractions going down, and it’s been looking like it’s on a roll of going down more frequently. Here’s what rides you may want to keep an eye out for on your upcoming vacation!
Magic Kingdom
The number one closure in Magic Kingdom was Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel with 56 closures in 27 days!! While it’s important to note that this ride does close each night when the park’s fireworks happen, that would only be around 27 closures, and this is nearly double that — so what’s going on with the carrousel?

In second place we have Pirates of the Caribbean with 39 closures in 25 days. This isn’t great, considering it’s one of the most popular rides in the park and is beloved by many. Some of these closures could have been due to animatronic issues, ride vehicles having trouble, or a myriad of other issues, but whatever’s going on, we hope May is better!

And finally, we have The Magic Carpets of Aladdin which closed 35 times in 19 days — still not great, especially for a filler attraction like this. Last year, we noticed this ride was super squeaky, and it did seem to finally get some TLC and we haven’t noticed the issue for a while, but it’s also possible a lot of these closures were due to storms in the area.
EPCOT
Over in EPCOT, we’re not surprised to see that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure closed the most with 27 closures in 19 days. This is one of the more technologically advanced rides in the park thanks to its trackless ride system, so it’s pretty often that we see this ride going down.

Frozen Ever After also went down 27 times in 16 days, but again, this ride is known for having some issues because of those more advanced animatronics. Again, you’ll want to plan to expect this ride to go down every now and then, so have those other plans in place!

Finally, Journey Into Imagination With Figment also closed 22 times in 14 days. Being another filler attraction in the park, we’re a little concerned about the future of this attraction. It’s possible it could be having some issues, so keep that in mind when you’re planning your vacation!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is one of the most advanced rides in the entire resort, and it closed 26 times in 19 days in April. All things considered, that’s not bad at all for this attraction, so we’re impressed!

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway also closed 22 times in 16 days, which is again, not totally surprising due to the trackless ride system here. This is another ride that you’ll want to have other plans for, and watch closely on the app to see when it opens back up!

Unfortunately, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith also closed 19 times in 14 days, and while this ride has had multiple issues over the past few years, but it’s been doing relatively well. We’re hoping it’ll continue to do better and we’ll see these closures decline!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Many rides in Animal Kingdom are closed at this time due to all the construction going on, but Kali River Rapids closed 15 times in 11 days. This is a little surprising to us since it just came out of refurbishment, but it’s also possible that a lot of these closures due to the rain.

Second on the list was Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain with 13 closures in 10 days. This coaster also can have issues in storms, so many of these could be due to those, but this coaster is also nearly two decades old, so it does have some mechanical issues!
