12 Life-Changing Announcements for Disney World First Timers in 2025

If you’re visiting Disney World for the FIRST TIME this summer, don’t miss these important updates!

From big deals to new shows — there are PLENTY of reasons to visit Disney World this summer. If it’s your first time visiting the Resort — or you’re returning — here are some deals and additions you can look forward to being available!

Special Summer 3-Day, 3-Park Ticket

Disney World is currently holding a special deal for 3-day, 3-park tickets.

Tickets from $89 per day (total price starting at $267, plus tax) and grant admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park only. Magic Kingdom is not included in this deal.

The promo is for date-based tickets with start dates from April 6th to September 22nd, 2025.

Save 50% on Select Kids (Ages 3 to 9) Tickets

Kids can also save big this summer!

Kids ages 3 to 9 can get 3-day or longer standard theme park tickets for up to 50% off for date-based tickets with start dates from May 27th to September 20th, 2025.

Early Summer Room Offer: Save Up to 30% on Rooms

For folks staying at Disney World hotels for  5 consecutive nights or longer, most nights from May 1 to July 31, 2025.

Hotel deals are broken into tiers, with 20%, 25%, and 30%. You can check which hotel falls into which savings category by checking the Disney World website.

Late Summer and Fall Room Offer: Save Up to 30% on Rooms

You can save on your hotel room later in the summer, as well!

The late summer deal is very similar to the early summer hotel deal, with the dates falling between August 1st to October 11th, 2025.

Free Dining Plan

Kids can eat free at Disney World this summer!

Disney World is giving away a free dining plan with the purchase of a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day Walt Disney Travel Company room-and-ticket package.

The deal is good for arrivals from June 29th to September 30th, 2025, October 20th to November 1st, 2025, and December 6th to December 22nd, 2025.

You can now enjoy a FREE dining plan when you purchase a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a Disney World hotel room a theme park ticket with a Park Hopper option.

The deal is good from June 29th to September 30th, 2025, October 20nd to November 1st, 2025, and December 6th to December 22nd, 2025. Guests staying at select Disney Moderate and Value Resort Hotels are eligible for the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and guests staying at select Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resort Hotels are eligible for the Disney Dining Plan.

Passholder Deal

If you’re considering getting a Disney World annual pass or already have one — good news! You can save some cash!

Passholders can save up to 40% on rooms for stays most nights from June 1st to July 31, 2025 at the Disney World hotels. Other savings are available for stays most nights from May 1st to May 31st, 2025.

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away

Over at Magic Kingdom, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is a brand-new nighttime parade that is coming to the park this summer!

The parade is inspired by the Main Street Electrical Parade and will feature “enchanting moments” brought to life by characters from Disney and Pixar films like Moana, Peter Pan, Encanto, Pinocchio, and more.

Test Track Reopens

EPCOT’s Test Track is reopening this summer after a lengthy refurbishment.

The third iteration of the attraction  will celebrate “today’s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future.” The new queue will have six distinct exhibits honoring vehicles and their creators, and brand-new show scenes that focus on “onboard technology, customization, and personalization.”

Addititionally, the ride vehicle itself is getting a makeover and will resemble something closer to the original pavilion design.

GEO-82

Staying at EPCOT, GEO-82 is a new adults-only lounge opening near Spaceship Earth this year!

The lounge is based on Spaceship Earth — which opened in 1982 — and will offer “global flavors blended with culinary artistry in classic cocktails and small plates.”

The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the new The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure is opening on May 27th, 2025!

The show is a fully reimagined theatrical production inspired by the animated movie and — just like Voyage of the Little Mermaid — will include a mix of live actors and puppets in some scenes.

Get ready to hear familiar tunes such as “Part of Your World”, “Poor Unfortunate Souls”, and “Kiss the Girl”.

Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After

Also debuting on May 27th at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, and we can’t wait!

This stage show will have you judge the villains as you watch characters such as Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent present their cases on stage.
